Vista update

Featured Replies

Anybody else noticed a vista update that "stops programmes bypassing product activation and interfere with normal windows operation"?

Seems like somebody is trying to put a cat back in a bag.

Oh dear... your geeky enought to read what updates your installing then?

I just install them. I have installed that update with no issues to report.

You probably have a legit copy of Vista though.

The PC in question has a purchased OEM vista business on it, so not going to cause me a problem in any way at all. It's installed fine too.

No i meant that update would stop people using activation circumvention tools which means that people have obviously found ways around the MS activation system and they are plugging a hole.

Yes Colin, I read them... I don't trust any third parties as far as software goes.

Probably more to do with this
