Surely if a post is out of order just delete the post rather than editing it. Editing a post may mean that the edited content may now no longer convey the message the poster wanted to convey!

I'm not, editing a persons post can change meaning, why not just delete it.

In this case it doesn't change the meaning of the post, but there are plenty of cases where editing a post could change the meaning conveyed.
