30,000 Members!!!!!

Featured Replies

I cannot believe the stats showing that we now have a membership of nearly thirty thousand  It seems like only a few months ago we hit the 10,000 then 20,000 barrier and have gone from strength to strength.

2007 was a good year for Briskoda, lets hope that we can continue this into 2008 and make it even better. There are more and more events and meets to participate in and a big National Meet is currently being organised

Yet again this evening, there had been over 250 posts since my last visit (which lets face it, was hardly eons ago :o)

Blimey, incredible how the numbers creep up!

Someone nerdy (and armed with the info) do a little line graph with how the membership rate has increased, with date as the X axis.

PS: I'm not nerdy but would have a crack armed with the info.

How many of those are Freedom members?

(I don't know how to find that out).

There are only 7000 active members.. not sure what the forum classes as active.

Considering briskoda is 4th in googles index when you search for 'skoda' i bet it gets alot of new members from that alone.

How is 'active' classified.

It might be interesting to know how many long term members there are i.e. with say 250 posts or more.

All these stats are available with raw SQL queries... but the forums may have the functions anyway?

Aye, the numbers are going up, but it's the same old people posting :D until a noob has a problem that is :D

Steve, you only posted in June last year that we were approaching 20,000 members. Another 10,000 members in 9 months....over 1000 per month. Thats mighty impressive indeed.

Colin...you feeling good about yourself :) You should be.

PS: I'm not nerdy

Are you entirely sure about that? lol ;)

As said, I don't think a high percentage of the newbie actually stick around, but it's an impressive figure now :)

Some of us newbies hang around.:)

My question answered, just wondering if the admins/mods are going to go through old/banned users and remove them from the briskoda directory too?

Gaining n00bs daily, and losing them one at a time too.

Snoopie, Random Rich....oh well.

Random Rich left??? I missed it....

Now if all those members were converted to Freedom….

30,000 x £12 = a really big server thingy!!!

I remember the old days when Jason was only on 8 trillion posts and there were 2 members:)

Obviously kidding.There were about 7000members when I joined but 30,000 now:eek: impressive

There was a list which was sorted by number of posts by each member, in descending order, i.e. most frequent poster at the top. Can't remember where to find it now though...

I'm glad that some new posters stay around to help others when they can - that's the spirit!

"Members list", then click heading of "Posts" column and list is sorted accordingly.

 Oh and thanks for the access info but I'm not sure I dare look at it ;) Mind you, if it displayed useful posts, I'd be off the end. Breathes again ;)

And now for some blatent advertising.

Colin has given in to mine and alex (Apinner) persistent pestering and let us startup a wiki under the briskoda name. Hopefully once some more config is done. There will be the beginings of a strucuture and guides in place next week

Something else for out 30,000 users to get their teeth into.

Took a peek yesterday :) not that there is so much to see yet, but the project is commendable and a big Thanks to you and Alex for launching the project! Hope you'll not run out of inspiration due to lack of input from the rest of us...
