Octy VRs grille badge

Featured Replies

Just bought a VRs grille badge from Skoda. It came with the small black backing plate which the badge sticks onto but how do you fix the backing plate to the grille or does the MK1 VRs use a different grille? i can,t see any way to fix it on.

I Used Epoxy resin I'm afraid, with a little masking tape to hold its position until it set.

Superglue?

Yeah I bought a hot glue gun and stuck it on.

When I was last in Tesco's they had some for a bargain £1.99

I'd not use superglue because, whilst it is very strong in tension, it's very weak in sheer, so a swift tap parallel to the grille bars will have your badge off.

My badge has two thin threaded bolts on them, with tiny nuts holding them on at the other side of the grill. (milotec)

Araldite.

..also, as its plastic, superglue will probably make the plastic go white....

I used Alraldite after some scum ripped my front and rear badges off! Only problem is now, they will probably take half the grille with them if they try and get it off!!!!

Cheers

Rob

i basically used the epoxy stuff mentioned above.

Araldite is what I've used.
