thinking about swapping vrs!!!!

Featured Replies

after hearing about road tax increase :mad:and doing alot more milleage than in previous job was thinking about selling my oct vrs and buying a fabia vrs. I think diesel seems to be the way forward.

what do you guys and girls think???????

Yes Diesel maybe the way forwards if your doing more miles but what will you get for your Octy?????

They are going for stupidly low money at the moment

You just need to way up the costs for and against and go for the best option ;)

Ive been thinking about the same thing, but a change of car now is not the best time. Maybe in the next 12 - 18 months.

Mmmmmmmm, Ready for the new Fabia vRS.

ive been considering trading my vrs in aswell but have been getting some pathetic trade in offers for it worst being 3600 and best 4k!!! dont thinkso!!! :thumbdwn:

Yes, same idea for me.

I was looking at a Fab1 estate, practical if nowt else.

Offed 4.5K on my 54, 97K Vrs.

Not bad i thought, just dont like the extra £6400 to go with it.

Now your talking:thumbup:

Steve

uhh, I had the same problem with 23k a year.

So LPG was the solution to that "problem".

(and still is)

Dumping the vRS is not an option! (don`t let the car hear it)

Ok the new road tax has put a dampner on things, however the Octy vRS is still reasonable to run, I have insured mine for less than £400 and I am getting around 33mpg.

I do think there will be a drop in value though as the working man moves away from yesterdays performance car and into tomorrows performance diesel a similar thing happened in the early 90s when insurance for hot hatches went through the roof. They came back eventually though.

My money is on the VAG 2.0tdi It sells well already and this will only strenghten its value.

Had my tax renewal on Thursday £112.75 (6 months)

Went online today to renew and it was £115.50.

Grrrrrr

Ah the joy of the pre 2002 tax :)
