unloking N95/BB5 phones to any network

Featured Replies

can it be done without going through my provider Voda?

my bill for jan was 250

my bill for feb was 250

my bill for march will be, yep 250

but i have a virgin mobile sim that gets me half price everything, 2000 texts and 300 mins for ten quid a month!

If i can remove the sim restrictions i'll save a fortune! ;)

cheers

If your saving that much money, maybe get a second phone instead?

i have a second phone!

I want to get a dual sim reader for the n95 and put the virgin sim in the 95!

Seems like a plan. then maybe a divert as well from the voda to virgin?!?

I could just reduce the voda tariff to 20 quid a month and pay off the contract but i dont really want to pay 500 quid this month!

feck me - do you use it for business?

I'm sure you must be on the wrong tarriff for your needs. I would suggest you contact them and try to sort out a new tarriff.

You will also be liable for the cost of the call if you divert from Voda to another operator - It's not a free solution.

Yes the phone can be unlocked.

its good to know it can be unlocked

HOW!!!! :P

no not business

PERSONAL

whats worse is i work for virgin and have half price calls/minutes with them!!!

its kind of costing me somewhere in the region of a hundred texts a day, that and calling my mate in spain and the 10 other hours i spend on the phone mean im a bit of a high roller at the moment!

now ive upped my tariff and im at 1000 texts 500 mins and data for 50 quid a month but im already at 1400 texts this month, by comparison my virgin sim is 2000 texts and 300 minutes for 10 quid a month, anything over is half price!! :(

I think it would make sense to swap to my virgin sim where possible but i want to keep the voda as its in contract and my work phone diverts to it, a dual sim thing seems ideal but the phone is locked to voda!

HELP!

They gave me a special code and unlocked it!

I just presumed they wouldnt till i was out of contract!

cost 20 quid but when my bill is 250 and the amount i'll save will be huge its got to be worth it!

Thanks again

You should have rung T Mobile, they do t for £15....

Mike, have you thought about VOIP on the N95, as long as you can get a Wifi signal it will save you loads of money, especially calling abroad.

I use truphone, and can phone any landline in europe for 3p a minute, came in really handy last year on holiday.

After careful thought and consideration i have resolved this large phonebill issue by getting rid of the new girlfriend and buying an xbox360. Total estimated saving - 230 pounds a month ;)

Initial outlay 180 pounds.

thanks all!!!!

I'll miss sending over 100 txts a day. My thumbs are now lost and my phone feels neglected :(

my dicks not too happy about it all either :P

ohhh, you can write **** and it doesnt get edited!
