What tint % on back and rear sides??

Featured Replies

Hi guys, Question in the title!!

Ive got a silver vRS, should be having the windows done next week when off of work:)!

Im in two minds, Weather to have 20% on the rear and rear side windows or 20% Rear and 40% on the rear sides??

I dont want it to look over the top! just to be so you can tell there are tints on the car!

Ive seem acouple of SE's around and there both had a tint on the rear?? Is that a standard thing on the SE's? If so what % are they?

Cheers! Matt

also interested as want mine done the same %as the se

The SE's look smart! Not over the top!

I had 35% on the sides and 22% on the rear window of a silver car...

Hard to capture on camera, but it was pretty subtle

Any SE guys or girls online that know there Window tint %???

Thanks! Matt

I would go for medium or dark smoke

Light will be too light and limo looks silly

my 5 rear windows are 20% and comparing them to my dads SE i wouldnt say there is any difference in level of tint.

I want to do mine but we are not allowed to do them as it breaks the reqiurements of our stupid taxi regs here in bournemouth:thumbdwn:

KTP are you please with the results? Or would you have gone for lighter on the sides??

Is 40% to light??

Mine being silver would it look to dark?

Or do you think thats the point?LOL!

Mine is "silly dark" on the back half of the car. I didn't actually fit them though so can't be culpable. :D However, it's good for keeping stuff in the boot or back seat (area) as no bugger can see in to see what you have.

i'm happy with how mine turned out, i'm just unsure what to do the front door windows, i'm tied between light and mid smoke, mid smoke would blend better but light smoke will keep the law happy.

and the 20% (dark smoke) will look good on the silver.

mine with 15%

Thought they would be darker than that. Or is it just the picture?

I think its just the angle that the picture has been taken in. Since there are no tints on the front the light is coming in from there and the front windscreen.

It looks more darker side on.

They're fairly dark, Rich is right, It's because of the shot angle and it was a bright day(don't get many of them)
