:confused: Hi lads and lassies, I am about to take delivery of a new Octavia A4.

I run a taxi company and up till now have used Pug 406s. Have heard a great deal about the Skoda Octavia and what i have heard is good. However as the vehicle will be having 4 drivers and be on the road 24/7 I wqould like to know the weaknesses of the vehicle as a taxi excluding the drivers of course.

Hello,

Which engine is it? I don't think the TDs have any bad habits apart from teh odd gearbox or two until 6 figures. Anti-roll bar bushes knock, the usual.

If you have a browse around the forum I'm sure you'll find most things!

Hi all, finally got around to getting some new shoes ordered for the girl. I'm getting a set of Hankook Ventus Evo K137 235/45 ZR18 98Y XL put onto the Pegasus alloys. I was considering changing out the locking wheel nut for just a regular nut? Which then prompted the second question, I picked up a set of Alcar 9021 17inch Steelies for Winter Tyres, do I need to run seperate nuts due to the alloy v steel nature? I was looking on autodoc to try and order some nuts as I didn't know how often they

Hi. Can someone send me an aliexpress/ Amazon link or OEM part number for the correct plastic door card trim fittings please? I broke a couple when fitting my speakers and there were enough left intact to put the door card back on but I’m planning on removing the door cards again for an upcoming project so it would be handy to have a few spare to replace the missing ones and just in case some more go. Thanks!

Hi all, Skoda Kodiak 4x4 AWD, and Skoda Kodiak front wheel drive....what codes or description spec's etc. differentiate between them ? My problem is that while my newest purchase of a 2020 Skoda Kodiak , 150 HP and Front wheel drive, is a delight in every way, my car insurance has gone through the roof, and when I queried it, I was informed that one of then reasons for the increase (more than.€200) is that its a 4x4 AWD. Only on setting 2 it’s not mega bad but it is getting worse gradually I guess it’s a dodgy bearing anyone else had it and if so was it covered by warranty ? And no it doesn’t play any tunes ….
