Dump / valve

Featured Replies

I thought it may be a good idea to to a reccomended sticky post for dump valves and induction kits, as searching is a mine field of error!

I want to know a good induction kit, dump valve and will it affect the ecu/managment system?

Many thanks

Tron

On here most people use forge 007 dump valve it replaces the standard plastic unit and is very reliable compared to standard. The forge dump valve dosent affect the eml light but its not very loud.If you put on an induction kit it does improve the sound of the dv.Most use the carbonio induction kit, alot of people use a replacement panel filter in the standard box.

Pipercross panel fillter / Forge re-circulating DV

Standard...works fine for me! ;)

I've got the forge fmdv006 DV (bit bigger than the 007) but am running the standard Dv as it fits under the cover better than the forge.

Iam also running a CAI from ebay which is proving to be very good.

I recommend a Carbonio CAI if you want loudness, and also Hyperboost HX DVs from Awesome are worth a look as well.

I have a forge 006 and pipercross induction kit. I have now ordered a CAI from ebay and hope to use the pipercross filter with the CAI pipe.

Bailey DV30 if you dont want forge and thats what i have got on mine as well as an ebay CAI

I have a forge 007 fast road thingy with an ebay CAI kit but with a jabba sport JR filter on the end rather than the cheap and nasty ebay effort.

I have a Carbonio And Forge 007. Both good pieces of kit

After reading that description i have a question. Why would you need to set it to resurc only, Do i assume that valve is designed for ***** who want there car to sound like a school bus? I'v changed the valve on mine to the 007 but that was because the standard Skoda jobby REALLY is poo and the new valve doesnt give as much lag when going through the gears.

The lag should be the same standard or non standard, unless your original was bust.

I never noticed any difference at all between standard and non standard, after all its only a device for releasing the large quantities of excess pressure you get when you take your foot off the pedal.

The OEM Dv is supposed to fail with remaps due to not being able to stand the extra boost pressure but mine has been fine.

The reason i changed was because the original failed. Otherwise i wouldnt have bothered. Cant believe the swear filter turned ch4vs to *****. Made me look like i had a potty mouth.

hi mate

if it is the cheep one like i got and the norm piper Induction kit that jus replaces the box? it doesnt fit in the little space in the bumper.lol

well mine doesnt ne way.

i use the cheep filter and have put some tights over it for a bit of extra filtering. at the mo i got 3 layers. gonna strip it and put fresh 5 layers back on soon.

saves cleanin the filter ne way

ill add this. the OEM dv is not that bad. dont forget that so long as you get the 710 N model your gettin the same on that is on the old 2.7 bi turbo RS4. if they can handle the power from that im sure they can manage a little 1.8T?

lol

You are right claytarget so I have ended up with the cone that came with the CAI, it looked ok so I'm not worried about it :)
