On the continent the saloon versions are quite popular, but also estate versions are very much a well selling product.

No idea why there is such a big difference, but I'd imagine there are some tax benefits as that's why Dutch people normally end up switching

Erm... I quite like the looks of it. Remember, compare like with like. Can't go comparing a VRS or Elegance spec hatch with a Classic Saloon!

Not that I'd ever do it but a bit of fun would be one of those with a 200bhp TDI, wide arch and rally slag graphics. The extra length may balance the car more and make the tail more progressive.

You are right they Skoda have failed me not making a Mk2 saloon, thats why I am keeping my Black Magic 1.9 SDi.It's the 2nd one I have owned.Don't want to be like everybody else and drive a boring eurobox hatchback,give me a boot anytime over a lift up back door.

i like these saloons,seen quite a few,usually sdi's,or mighty 2.0 mustang slayer guise:D
