Auto Express 2008 JD Power Survey

Featured Replies

Well.........it's out again, and whilst the Octy2 has stolen the plaudits again, trouncing the Golf, on which it's based.

The Fabia ('OLD') is doing well in 24th place. Particularly interesting is that 77% of Fabia owners would have the same model again. I know I would!

However, we won't mention the Seat Ibiza, which, by comparison, seems to be a complete pile of kack.

........Funny, that!

Can all the lazy people have a link please?

You can have three, by the way it is the AUTOEXPRESS DRIVER POWER SURVEY not JD POWER

Auto Express wont release a link to the 2008 survey until the magazine is off the shelf.

Give it a couple of weeks as part two is next week: "The Dealers"

Here is 2007 survey if it helps:

Interesting...

You'd never think it from all the complaints on these forums. I'm surprised to say the least.

... yeah, but you shoud see the Fiat, Peugeot and Renault forums

LOL good point.

Thats why people come here. To find information and look for sympathy when they do have a problem. The users on here and more specifically the people who only come on here to post their problems represent a very small percentage of otherwise happy owners.

It's a bit like walking in to a doctors waiting room and being surprised that the place is full of ill people.

I use the Fiat forum most days (Also being a Punto owner) and it's full of kids who spel in T3xt wanting to get more power out of their 1.2 8v's for a tenner having spent the rest of their pocket money on LED washer jets.

Was there any need for that?

There's no need to be quite so rude!

Great forum. Mine of useful information. The Fabia Vrs was also a great discovery, (researched here).

You said my car was a complete pile of cack!!:(

The Ibiza came bottom for ride quality, which is fair enough!

You have to take these surveys witha pinch of salt though, they aren't that objective or scientific. Reliability indicators however are probably the most useful.

Yeah the ride quality isn't great I have to admit, I really like the car though overall

  • 4 weeks later...

Latest issue has Skoda dealers coming second to Lexus ones. So, the Octavia is the most satisfying car to own, supplied through the second most satisfying dealer network.

How many on here filled in the survey?
