Tyres

Featured Replies

It looks like it's time to replace 2 of my tyres and wondered if anyone knew the best place to get new ones from, and how much they'd cost.

They are 205/55/16 and am not concerned about super grip as want them to last several thousand miles, or until I can save up for some 17"s!

Any help would be appreciated

:)

Have you checked out the links section? Alternatively, PM Phil (piv34uk) for a quote as he works in that business and has helped out quite a few of us.

Ok there are thousands of tyres to choose from, i'm confused! Which make to go for, do I stick with similar to what I have (pirelli, michelin or continental) or try and make them uniform? What do people think of the goodyear Eagle F1?

What do people think of the goodyear Eagle F1?

So far I would say they have the same grip the Pirelli PZero Rossos are a bit more of a comfortable ride. However they are a little noisier.

Haven't done a mpg comparisn but they're about the same.

Price wise they are a little cheaper than the Rossos as well.

If your criteria is wear then Michelins are the way to go.....don't perform as well as the other tyres but last for ages.

A cheaper alternative aas Kumho Ecsta 712......would have tried these myself but they apparently don't come in the XL rating the RS requires. :ne_nau:

The what rating?

Seem OK on mine - lucky it's not a vRS :P
