Free Jumbo Box and Alloys Upgrade

Featured Replies

I came back to this site to see if I could sell my fabia to lease a zafira as I need something bigger. Now I've managed to persuade myself that I want an Octavia vRS instead!

I notice they have the free upgrade offer which ends 31st March. Does anyone know if it is likely to be extended or if there are rumours to what it will be replaced with?

Cheers

Steven

Its been running for ages, and has been extended a few times, an absolute no brainer though, especially when you come to trade in time and your car doesnt have the extras...

Cheers, hopefully they will extend it again as I'm too indecisive to make my mind up in 5 days!

I know last time I went to the dealers they told me the free upgrade was only on cars available to order from stock which seemed a little odd ??

You would be crazy to buy a car without these upgrades even if the offer does happen to end (although I doubt it will somehow!).

It was on all ordered including factory. There was some confusion with some dealers it did seem. I think this extra has been running for 9 months now (if not a year) if they extend it again, they might as well just make them standard items on the car, although it then doesn't look like a promotion.

I very much doubt they will end it.

I was suprised when they first launched it that dual zone, electric rear windows and the jumbo box where not part of the standard spec. 17" alloys look okay but the 18" look great.

Perhaps they will become standard for the MY09 model year. :)

Definitely want the Jumbo pack. Given the choice though I think I would opt for the 17's and use the £450 towards xenons. I think the 18's look great but would prefer a little more rubber for comfort.

Now just have to pick which dealers to call and persuade them to match DTD price!

I think in this day and age rear leccy windows and a "frikkin armrest" should be standard....

The 18" wheels I wasn't fussed about, but am very happy with them. Fact is I've not driven an vRS with 17" wheels so can't compare the comfort.

My car has dual zone climate- never sure if that was part of the "jumbo box offer".

The 17s are only marginally more comfy than the 18s - I've had both. :)

Well, when you find somebody who will match (or better) their price will you let me know as I'm also in the market. Cash waiting if it's a really outstanding deal!!!

I'm currently biding my time/waiting for this impending recession to fully 'kick-in' so hopefully somebody out there will be biting my hand-off soon to part with my hard-earned?

Just how hungry are salespeople going to be to reach their targets in what is the final week/end of their 1st selling quarter? I could, however, have totally misjudged the market!

If not, then 1 x basic Petrol Octavia vRS (complete with upgrades) in Black Pearlescent wanted quite soon please...
