I started my car, turned the fans on then because i wanted to get loads of cool air in quickly, i turned it up to 4.

Fuse blown, damn,

so anyway i went to get petrol, and my sister ran over to the skoda garage next door, the guy came out with a light, and pulled out the broken fuse.

And replaced it with the spare yellow 2A fuse.

It worked yay.

But now it wasn't blowing much air at all, but it worked.

1/2 hour later i tryed turining it on again, and was at normal speed.

However im starting to think their maybe another problem with it, what caused the fuse to blow? and why? I'm hoping its not a short, as i dont fancy taking the dashboard apart.

Oh yes they do

i would say there is some debris in the fan , or the bearings are a bit dry. IIRC you can access the fan from the front, under the bonnet

:iagree: , given all the symptoms. That said, fuses do blow from old age, particularly if suddenly loaded, so I'd not worry to much about a one-off occurance.
