I sure did and I'm thinking about ways to aquire a effin big gogglebox as we speak

LOL. Nice 1. Should have had twins. Hee hee.

A decent games console is worthy as a replacement for a pushchair.

Just walk out carrying the PS3 around with you and kids will keep up without the need of a pushchair :D

But seriously, if you want to get the best picture possible out of your SD telly, use a component cable or an RGB cable, not the piddly composite lead it comes with ;)

Its amazing what mothercare sell nowadays then, will have to stop complaining when she asks me to take her there again mow..............

Is she still speaking to you ?

Nah, mate, spend the money on a decent HDMI lead and just bide your time till the HD monster lands in your lliving room!

IME, I've never bought into the expensive cable malarky. My 10 metre lead from CPC does the job. IMHO, don't spend more than a tenner on a lead unless it's more than 2m long :)

If the expensive HDMI cables are like the audio cables then dont bother as there was a test recently between coat hanger and monster audio cables and no one could tell the difference!

Pointless buying a super quality HDMI cable as its a digital cable. The electronics in the machines code/decode the signal into 1's and 0's. The signal gets to the end of the cable or it doesnt, its not like an analogue signal where it can be degraded along the way.

Steve

I paid £3 for my HDMI cable off ebay! Works like a treat... even had gold-plated connectors (supposedly!)

Have been trying to think of excuses to buy a PS3 but don't need a pram just yet! lol

Phil

just dont be conned when she says will you come with her to look at some mcclarens, they buggy's not cars!! ;)

Only just, she did the usual "it's up to you" then last night started guts aching about how much I had spent

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

The bad move was allowing step daughter on guitar hero, she has completely and systematically destroyed me on it :o

Expensive analogue leads vs bell wire/cheap and nasty leads = big difference on good kit.

Expensive Digital lead, WTF if is digital it either made it as a 1 / 0 or didn't.

I saw a gold plated high definition USB 2 lead promising improved quality from your USB camera/video camera in a store the other day. Since the sales guy collared me at the same moment I decided to take the p*ss and was greatly amused by their understanding of the subject.

I went a while back and got this:

I'll swap my PS3 for that!!! The Bugaboo Cameleon goes for a FORTUNE on ebay! I'll pocket the extra cash and then buy another PS3!!! :D

We've got the Cameleon in Black! Great choice! Very stylish too!

How's it handle etc as swmbo is currently scouring the earth trying to decide what one to get bugaboo has come up as well as few others and she's now starting to panic as it 11wks till D day :D:D

A ps3 is a little awkward but it does fit in the boot but I don't think it will be much use as a car seat!!!:rofl:

Just to clarify, to anyone, - Its not for sale / swap - swmbo would chop bits from my person if I suggested that to her.

First of all I don't think its worth the full price (we paid a lot less) - we've got about £850 (rrp) of kit now and there's still accessories she wants

But we live in a flat and needed one that easily split and could carry a child whilst split. It can be tricky to use, ours is still stiff on the chassis collapse/open mechanism. Although they seem to have improved it for the MY2008 with easier to use buttons - ours is a 2007 :(, I was gutted I missed the facelift. Last but not least, it fits in my car, just :o.

FWIW, it took from early Nov till early Feb to get all the bits we needed I'd check the lead time on anything you order.

Cheers Dai

May go for the same one as my missus does someserious walking including off road....lol

Heard a lot of good thing about these and they seem to hold there value well (see ebay) so in 18 months time i could in theory flog it for £350-400which would then go towards the next pushchair (bigger etc) .

I think it may be time for another thread ....something like Pushchairs recommendations :rofl:

You mean something a little like this? :rubchin: http://briskoda.net/forums/roadside-hotel/pram-pushchairs-babystuff/92754/

I have heard some negative comments about the bugaboo (some from Briskodians) so its best to try a load of prams and see what suits you.
