Tom, it does not look good

they had one like that (the starsky and hutch effort) at the oxford dealers that i looked at, looked bad 'in the flesh'. it was on sale for a good while so no one else seemed taken with it!

No, its a bit to Ford if ya get my drift...

ATB, Jon.

No... ;)

Roll of white gaffer?

Don't do it Tom. That fail is so epic it makes Doctor Zhivago seem quite average

That plus think of the paint fade when you take them off on red ;)

Doesn't seem as good as the silver on black effect. A big no-no from me, but then people said that about bits I've put on my car and I still did it. :D

Sorry, but no :thumbdwn:.

I like them :sofahide:

easy to spot if you traffic offend

Makes you stand out a too much for my taste. Much better to blend in with the traffic and not be noticed.

TBH I'm not sure how well that previous statement sits with my choice of a bright banana yellow wagon ? :)

TBH the red car isn't subtle anyway ;)

However, I'm not keen on the look.

If I do it again (well, when ;)), I'm going to get them done properly. Thinking black, a bit wider stripes a bit closer together... :)

Black might work, silver doesn't. But then again, Makefish's car looked carp in the pictures but worked in the metal.

They're definitely white.

Trust me, they look no better in the metal. I'm up early to peel them off before I go to work!

:)on the bright side it will limit the amount of stonechips

Starsky and Hutch...what a car:thumbup:

Tom,no.Looks like a Suzuki Swifts dad's car

(Who am I to talk.I used to colour the letters on tyres in white when I was your age:eek: )

Hmm; I had 'Goodyear Grand Pix S' tyres with white letters (as manufactured) many moons ago.

The Octavia is a Q-car,not a 1971 Mustang Mach II.

I had a White MkII Escort (with vinyl roof) and actually bought one of those special 'white' pens that highlighted the letters on the tyres but again that was many moons ago :o

I saw the Starsky and Hutch car in that south Oxford dealers too, plus at speed on the opposite carriageway of the A34, looked smart, and different.
