Featured Replies

Anybody know of any VAG seats that are a like for like swap for the fabia vrs? would like some more sporty leather ones, maybe from an A3 etc??

Cheers

Jason

why not get yours retrimmed in leather?

r32 golf?

you can make any seat fit any car with enough patience, skill,or cash, try looking to the mk 4 golf,r32 seats ar nice,or maybe rs4 seats, they are going for about 1k,or any of the leather recaro's from any of the vag cars, the subframes are easy enough to modify for a competent diy er,just keep an eye out for the side airbags malarky,i think you could probably make them work, but i think someone with more vagcom magic ability than me will be able to say for sure.

The only limit is your imagination:thumbup:

I do like the r32 and RS4 seats, re trimming the standard vrs seats is an option but tbh there not the most figure hugging comfy seats ive had, and on my set the metal digs into my leg as the padding is knackered. Plus they just havent got that WOW look about them

I was thinking the same, have been on Ebay looking at salvage seats however the back onces are also important so wouldnt they need to be from a same size rear....so to speak.

im more after comfort / luxury sports car look, r32 / rs4's would go lovely, prob too big though :(

Got a mate with a set of Scooby recaro's for sale, haven't got any pics at the mo, but I know they are good condition etc... if your interested?

I had black leather TT seats in mine.

Took 2 full weekends to make them fit properly, but worth it in the end.

Got the rears re-trimmed the match.

:D Er, not quite!

I used the Fabia runners & fabricated some spacers to fit the TT seats. Then a lot of swearing & head scratching afterwards!!

well done! do they sit lower than the originals? :)

i am getting mine leathered when i hve saved up mate but as you say the metal side does dig in abit on a long journey lol or is it cos i have fat legs !!!

The main thing to remember is with VAG there arfe two different classes of seats. Ones with flat runners that bolt to the floor and ones with rollers on the seat base that slide into runner that are part of the floor pan. It is pretty difficult to adapt one to the other as the seats dont have subframes as such that bolt on, they are part of the seat base.

Flat runners

Fabia

Polo (9N)

Ibiza (6L)

MK5 Golf

Octy 2

Audi TT

Roller runners built into floor

Octy 1

MK4 Golf

Audi A3

MK1 Leon

New Beetle

Audi A4,A5,A6 etc

Yes. The driving position was brilliant.

Thanks for the info, what should I be looking for to fit a FABIA VRS without causing too much ball ache!!!!!!!!!

Ive seen a pic on a CZ site of a Fabia with some Octy vrs mk2 seats in it Front and rears retrimmed to match-ish...)

Looked very nice.

Id say get some Recaro ones where you have to fabricate a subframe up....

I know these mightn't shout ultimate luxury, but they're very comfy and just look so goddamn good. If I could, I would.

Those TT seats look pretty good though Jon! Worth all that hard graft.

Wow, that hybrid TT-Fabia interior looks awesome!

I was quite proud of it, as it was all my own work.
