Some people just don't care!

Featured Replies

Took my Octy into the dealers today to have the windscreen changed - suffering from the delamination problem! Arrived early and parked in the car park. A guy in a Scout parks up next to me on the passenger side - looked quite close. I was still sat in my car (waiting for the dealer to open up!) I could see the other car was a big chap and struggling to get out. He was holding th door to avoid it hitting my car at the last moment, he gave up and let go of his door allowing it to open into my car. I heard the noise of door hitting body work. I immediately got out - did he apologise or anything? Nope, nothing. Walked away as if nothing happened. Checked my car and fortunately couldn't see any dent or scratch or anything but really annoys me that people just don't give a monkeys.

Rant over!! Got a 57 Fabia 1.2 as a courtesy car!

Yes, some people are ******** Had some guy sit in his car resting his door open against mine!

i know the feeling, someone did it to me when i was sat in the car and stared at me blank when i got out and had ago at them, their car was a battered up mondeo held together with gaffa tape.

I parked my car between 2 others on a shop car park. Just before I got out the front passenger door of the car next to me got flung open and it banged into my driver's door. The door bounced back almost closed so the teenage girl flung it open again - banging into my door again! The girl was having a row with her mother who was in the driving seat. I got out and leant into their open window and shouted some promises of what would happen if they did it again. There was no reaction from them, the girl just stared up at the ceiling. As I walked off to the shop I could hear the row resume.

There wa no damage to my door - the protector strip did its job. I couldn't believe someone could do that knowing I was in the car!

This is the problem with owning a nice car, the vast majority of people don't care about their cars as they only see them as a tool to get from A to B. It does seem strange how their cars don't always seem that badly damaged considering how they treat them.

Thanks for everybody who replied to my rant! :)

The thing was, this guy was driving a nearly new Roomster (sorry, got it wrong about it being a Scout - thats the Octavia!) But looking at the guy, I could tell that he didn't really care even about his own car - I think it must have been a company car or something.

I wasn't so bothered about the car insomuch the guy didn't even murmur a sorry. Anyway, I'm going to rant a bit more about the windscreen replacement job later!!

It is frustrating when people obviously don't give a stuff about their own things, so treat other people's things with equal disregard. Grr.

I hated parking my Oct'y in car parks, would always park miles away from enterances much to the amusement of swmbo,

Now I don't worry in the Landy, it gets parked any where, will be even better when i get some Rock sliders for the sides.

Have you seen that insurance advert where the man parks his car away from the rest in the supermarket and a satellite lands on it!

Thats the sort of luck I get :(
