boost gauge help

Featured Replies

can any one add a pic of where i need to drill the inlet manifold for a boost gauge to fit

any hel would be great thanks

Use the search dude! You'll find loads of help there

easiest - get an Allard racepipe - it has a boost gauge nipple as standard.

Otherwise - you have to drill and tap into the topmost flat area of the intake manifold after the OEM EGR valve. Without getting any swarf into the intake. Has been done without removing the intake (stuffed in shop rag and vacuum cleaner while drilling) but not recommended, lol.

No no no. (said in a Chuchill manner :) )

There is no boost on that side of the system, thats the intake.

You need to be on the manifold side.

sorry to be thick but does any one have a pic thanks

sorry no pics, but its the ally bit that actually takes the air into the engine, just after the EGR valve - rear top of the engine....

Has four pipes coming off it going into the engine. Has a convenient flat bit for drilling and tapping into, but any swarf will find its way into the cylinders asap. best to remove it...
