You think you've done a good job and cleaned them well. Drive to mates house. Look at the wheels and notice you've missed a bit. Happens every time. I just leave them dirty :(

Black

Neither, the reason most people go for black/white/anthrite is because they look good!

BUT if you have the money to tinker witht the colour and change it if it does not look good, you have nothing to loose....

What about black with a red rim on the wheel or white with a red rim??? That would give the car a unique look... Maybe qwith a green stripe???

Or black with a red rim to match the car ?

I'll have Black Pro Race 2's on my Red Fabia at the weekend and was thinking about a red rim?? You see it on alot of bikes so i thought, Why not a car??

I'll get the rim tape and experiment, i'll post pics at weekend:thumbup:

I always like to be different when it comes to modding a car, but always keep it subtle.

I had my TT Comps finished in a SEAT colour called Platnium Grey.

There should be some pics in the Alloys Archive.

Hmm...Strong contender for a PITA wheel to clean that one. :)

What about that pearlescent white they used to use on Audi's in the eighties?, that would/could look rather funky :)

Green......

Or pink.........

Maybe alternating spokes of pink and green...........

Urgh, fancy seeing them when your hungover!!! Be speaking to ralph and huey

I saw a 911 with blue wheels today - Looked ace...

Any updated Keith ?

I'm now looking for colours for my standard ones on my black Furby.

Gold looks alright, green looks a bit daft.

As a matter of interest, does anyone who has had their wheels refurbed know if the wheel refurbing places are able to lend you a set of wheels (steelies or whatever) to drive around on while yours are being refurbed?

Depends on where you take them.

I know a place in Edinurgh that can provide loan wheels at a cost whilst yours are in with them.

If you're stuck, you could always do one at a time and use your spare.

how about an airbrush effect that's red in the centre, fading out along the spokes to silver at the rim ?

initially i was going to do something a little crazy with my spare alloys to see how it looked but realistically i dont think i can bring myself to actually do them!

currently been looking for a replacement set of alloys, possibly 17" spiders to keep the standard-ish look and paint them anthracite. the more i think about the choices, the harder it becomes but i think i've got it in my head the standard alloys will look crap on my car in any colour other than silver.
