I "evaluated" Trackmania Unlimited 2.

It looked very good, but never really managed to find a wacky track.

However, I guess an entirely free version will bring masses of players and track designers so should be a hoot

Amazingly it's just finished downloading. However, even with everything put on the lowest settings, my laptop still only just runs it with plenty of juddering.

Running in a window works better for me at a low resolution.

Yep, done all that. But my poor overworked laptop has never been good with graphics. It's mighty 32meg onboard just about copes with cubase, let alone anything else.

Just had a few blasts round some of the starter tracks. It's very good for free! i like the way you have to set the car up for jumps or face certain doom! managed to win a few gold medals as well (after a bottle of red) So in summary : very good!

Ive signed up with my username on here, good little game for a quick bit of fun only thing is my display driver keeps failing so reduced the quality and coping alright. Think my PSU's on its way out.

i was running it on full everything nice and smooth, trouble is it only got 60fps on those settings :P
