Hi All,

Just joined after having bought a RED 04 Fabia vRS.

Intitial impressions are good although build quality of dash is not as good as my 4 year older Octavia was :(.

Economy is worse even if I drive slower (the Octy was a 110 slx).

However the Fabia's seats are superb, and the car is actually quieter:).

Hiya.

Yes I know the Furbie's lighter than the Octy, but the engine's more powerful. More power means burning more fuel! Also "driving slower" doesn't always save fuel, if it means dropping the engine out of the "green band" where its specific fuel consumption is lowest.

Actually there's a question in itself. Has anyone ever seen SFC figures for the TDi1.9s?

Hi guys, I'm at desperation stage here. Changed bearings on the car. Ball joints also changed. The threads on my TREs were goosed from getting the busy off, so I bought new ones to replace them. My issue is the jam nuts. I have watched/read pretty much everything that's out there, yet these things won't budge. Tried heat, spray etc. Is it definitely clockwise for both to loosen them off you are looking at the hub from the outside of the wheel arch? Lefty loosey when looking from the insid

Hi new to the site I have just purchased a 2008 superb Laurin and klement edition in dark blue with cream leather 118000 with original wheels athou the wheels need full refurb i think they are diamond cut but maybe someone could correct me could anyone tell me how many were produced in mk1s and are they a rare car I would have preferred the 1.9 as apose to the 2.0 litre but it drives just a good and coud not find this edition in a 1.9 but I don't think they did a laurin klement in a 1.9 tdi but

Generally, i dont like to be one of those people to open up another topic that has been exhausted time and time again, but after extensive research, i really am struggling to find a forum response that matches fully with my issue.
