First Briskoda Meet of 2008 pics

Featured Replies

Hi all,

The first Briskoda meet of 2008 and it was a cracking day very warm and the sun was out and the meet location was in Perth.

We had a grand total of two cars that turned up and that included mine and JRP from Aberdeen, we may have been small in number but did not stop us from having a good day out.

We decided to have a meal in the harvester and afterwards took a few pics from the day, I even tried to get a skoda owner to come along and also stuck a note under a fabia vrs in the car park.

Here are some of the pics from the day out.

Cheers

Davy

Glad you had a good day, shame the turnout was kinda small.

Like the 'Roaming pics.;

I had fun at Knockhill today.

I think maybe the fuel strikes maybe put some folks off to be honest.

How was Knockhill?

Davy

Knockhill was great thanx, except I got sunburnt

I was posted at the chicane all day; had to deal with 2 incidents; a Caterham with gearbox failure and a Mini that met with a tyre wall and ended up on its side. New Minis are Heavy.

I was ok for derv in the end; I guess I'm still getting used to how economical this thing is.

Sounds like a good day, yeah I got badly sunburnt as well on the back of my neck. It's hurting now:thumbdwn:

Nice pics, looks like you had a good day then :)

It was a cracking day, but just wished there was some more skoda's!

Yeah shame about that, I would have came along but was working :(

I'm going to try my best to make it to the next meet, it will be good to meet all the Scottish Briskoda members

What a shame that only 2 cars turned up.

I feel bad now for not attending (although i said from the start i couldn't go)

Hopefully we can drum up some more interest for the next one.

Wonder if we can do a poll to see where abouts in Scotland all the members are located, to get an idea of the best location that would get more members to commit to a meet.

I would go to more if they were a bit closer to Glasgow or instance.....I'm in Kilmarnock so getting to perth is a bit of a trek! lol

I think we need somewhere central for everybody to attend beacuse we have folks from aberdeen, dundee, edinburgh, glasgow dumfries so not everybody is a winner where their located, because the scotland region covers a lot of gound. I also have that same problem with another forum that I use.

It can be tough, sometimes the problem then divides up into Regions East/West etc..which is rubbish.

Ideally the venue should be changed every meet to suit those who live out of that certain region, just to make it fair.

quite right Johnny, maybe the next meet could be say glasgow way, then the following month say edinburgh way and so on.

Thats usually the best way i find.

On other sites, people complain about having to travel a 100 mile round trip etc to a meet.

Only trouble with here is, there's not that many of us to start with.
