Deactivate Traction control via OBDII - Is it possible?

Featured Replies

After just reading about the possibility of passenger airbags being deactivated via vag-com/obdII, I'm now left wondering if the same might apply the Octavia's [vRS] Traction control?

It's now summer, and the roads are dry, so it is becoming a little bit of a pain to have to keep remembering to turn of the traction control everytime I want to get the most out of the car :D.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Big Rich

P.S. I did read about a diode-based solder job, but that is a little '3rd party' to me ;)

there is a button mod if you search through old posts....

;)

i thought there was a standard button to turn off the traction control in the VRS??

Yes, but it must be pressed every time the engine is started. A but much for some :P ;)

You can do it, using adaptation settings, from VAG-COM.

I'll try and find the settings for you. I know the Audi and Golf guys do it.
