I have notice over the last few days that sometimes when I try to open the drivers door (from the inside) that the handle doesn't seem to be pulling the door lock (don't feel any resistance when pulling) and doesn't actually open it. If I pull it a second time, it opens but there still doesn't seem to be as much resistance as other doors. If I then close the door and open it a few times it seems to be okay.

Any ideas ??

This happens if the door is locked. The first pull actually unlocks the door and the second pull opens the door. Check that your not unwittingly pressing the lock down accidentally.

Thats exactly how it feels but the drivers door is NOT locked, has anyone any ideas. Could the central locking unit be faulty, ie the door lock sensing the door is locked when its not ?

Big K, have you ever heard of this issue I'm experiencing.

I've also got a door lock problem when opened the door does not seem to register with the central locking that I have opened the drivers door and will re-lock when I get in the car just as it would if I hadn't got in if you know what I mean ???? Also the courtesy light does not work with the drivers door. I've been to the dealer and there going to fit a new lock but guess what... there on back order and whilst looking over the shoulder of the parts guy I noticed that there was a list of door lock assemblies all with WARR as a code beside them. Seems this could be another problem with them.

I wonder would my problem have anything to do with the fixing of an old problem.

You may remember I had a problem with the Passengers side door lock, sometimes when you'd lock the car the indicators wouldn't flash and if you pressed the lock button on the remote a second time the passangers side door lock would pop up and you could open that door (the alarm would go off). Anyway I think some part of the central locking unit was replaced (well thats what I was told). I wonder if the replacement part might be causing my problem, well thats if the replacement part is somehow connected to the Drivers side door lock.

Any ideas !
