had estell many years ago:finger: never thought would ever have one again !!!!!!! wrong. have ordered fabia2 1.4 80hp test drive seemed fine can this engine be chipped safely?:)

Hi Melly,

Not heard much about chipping the 1.4, but anything's possible. There's often debate about the differences between the 100bhp and 75bhp engines in the old Fabia, but there's a bit more between them than the mapping... :o

welcome to briskoda

Welcome :)

welcome to ther briskoda community.

Hi Melly,

Check out Angel Tuning , these guys are the business. (I can't type in the link cos it comes out as gobbledegook, just google them) According to their price list they can give you an extra 9bhp for £195. I'm going to let them loose on my Octy when she's got 4,000 on the clock which is apparently what you need before they'll do your car. Good luck and welcome:thumbup:

The slightly older 75bhp 1.4TDI engines would remap to about 100bhp so you might get a smidge over that on yours.

It'll be a noticable improvement in performance and won't do your fuel consumption any harm if you drive it normally.

Jabbasport are a popular tuner on here but there are plenty of other options. Whereabouts are you?
