I now have my Quaife ATB diff aching to go in my box.

Interestingly enough it came to £625 inc delivery and the uprated ARP diff bolts. Looking at the prices of them both in another thread they aren't so far apart. I got mine through APS who delt direct with Quaife and got a 5% discount which ain't a great deal off but it all helps.

Is the diff for the petrol and diesel 6 speed the same??

No, but if you get one, "lose" the receipt (in an envelope addressed to home ) and stick it in with your luggage, I imagine import duties would be "minimal"
