Reading an article in Classic and Sports car about it.

Have to say,thet must be one of the most interesting un-intersting cars ever (intentionally so)

The ultimate stealth machine.So much went into the stealth part of it and the porshe involment was really interesting.They really worked hard together on that car.

Anyone ever come across one? (think you would be hard pressed to know you were looking at a supercar...everyone who bought one went for the 'de badge option)

I know someone who has two of them! If you're talking the W124 series, it was built as a LHD only, and there's not much space under the bonnet with that beasty engine in there. Goes like a rocket. :cool: And yes, it probably is the ultimate sleeper, especially the de-badged ones. Much better than the more recent AMG incarnations which are easy to spot a mile off.

e500 was a great car. but the market demands spoilers and deep bumpers now...

I've only ever seen one on the road, and that was many moons ago now.

Lovely machine and have seen one or two. I think this model E class was the last of the over engineered Mercs.
