Ok so there I was changing my wheels front to back (to avoid buying new tyres) when I noticed lovely greese everywhere in my front wheel arch.

The Drivers side CV Boot has split and lost, what must be, all of its greese.

Is it ok to drive still or will I damage the CV joint ???:confused:

get a new boot and re-grease it and it should be ok so long as it hasn't been like it too long

You can find a replacement boot that fits without removing the driveshaft the boot is basicaly cuped round the CV having refilled it with the grease supplied and glued faces pushed together and Yes they do work and save a lot of time and effort

The Idea is not new My old 1956 VW camper had ones on the drive shafts that actually bolted together the split and this was a VW part so once again
