You will have been given default picks - the first time you miss your picks for a race, you will be allocated a default pick of the race grid. For subsequent missed races you will earn no points.

The default system is there as a safety net, that way people who genuinely miss a race won't fall behind.

  • It's a shame you don't get a bigger bonus for picking before qualifying bearing in mind the increased risk it holds!

  • Looks like the top 3 struggled in the league yesterday. Essjay took top honours with 17.5 points, techie and Simon83 came in 2nd and 3rd with 14.5 points. Current leader Rhino managed 10 points along

People who miss a race should get no points! You could effectively win by a proxy computer algorithm and never place any picks yourself.

Although i think i would have more luck doing this

ah yes, have found the bit which explained that

Awesome Race this weekend made very uncomfortable acward viewing at the end Lots of respect for nico and webber no much for vettel although he is a ruthless 3 time world champion maybe its impossible to win without backstabbing your team mate and ignoring team orders. Although he made the mistake of saying he heard the order but ignored it, If i was him i would have said my comms were not working lol. Any update on Superbru i did a bit better this week i think, whats the overall scores?

Apologies for the delay guys, would have done this yesterday but had no internet at home!

I suspect a few people will have dropped some points over the weekend due to Alonso dropping out, I know I did. There were some big winners and losers from the race though: Rickboy up 11 places, R7KY D up 12, Scribbler up 18, techie up 13. The big losers were skud vrs down 10, MartynVRS down 17, Kartman down 13 JackClap down 14. But it's Durmz who takes the yellow cap for the round and he correctly predicted (amongst others) 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th and 10th.

  1. Durmz 30.00
  2. Rhino 30.00
  3. vrsvec 28.00
  4. borinous 28.00
  5. Rickyboy 27.00
  6. R7KY D 27.00
  7. Iann- 26.50

Everything is back on this weekend - get those picks in early as qualifying sessions are early Saturday morning.

Did mine at the end of the last race. Red Bull will implode this week contact on the first corner (i hope)

I would love to see Webber take Seb out to be honest. It didn't just offend me that he disregarded team orders, or also offended me that he 'show boated' his way across the finish line, something I have near enough never seen, and then has made some sort of false apology before starting to say he will do it again.

Bonkers. What a ****.

Will make my choices after practice!

Picks made, lottery again with some science!

Oooo yes. That was good! Made a gamble with Hamilton and it paid off, but don't have him (or Vettel) for the win, so let us see tomorrow! Having Ham, Rai, Alo will definitely be a fun 3 at the front though!

Noticed a few haven't picked at all for the race - I always put up a reminder on here and DW plus there is the automated reminder. Let's hope people don't drop by the wayside, there was only a handful last year.

I keep forgetting and I missed qualifying. Has the scoring system changed this year? I only picked in about two races last year and was higher at the end than I am now.

Yes they've reduced the default pick to only ONE race - the basis being that they appreciate that people forget or go on holiday etc but last year people where doing exactly that and only picking a handful of races but scoring default points and placing higher than those who had actually bothered to pick.

Makes it fairer and avoids tactical picking.

I'm surprised you aren't limited in this league to the number of times you can pick people. I.e. can only say Vettel will be on pole 3 times. Makes picking much clever rather than just 'having a punt'.

Hows that fair seeing as vettel most years has about 40% + of the poles available. How is penalising people for correctly antisipating the result clever?

Poorly explained. If I remember correctly the system was quite different. You get points for laps lead and laps completed and all sorts. But essentially it was a bit more like some of the fantasy ones in that you chose a team and a few drivers each week, and get points based on where they finished, and by the end of the year everyone had to have chose all the drivers 3 times. So you had to be tactical about what races you thought the midfield teams were going to perform better in. Etc.

Had Alonso and Kimi so should get some good points

Didnt get a single position right, but got the podium correct, just not the order, oh well .

Well I thought I had them, and but that was Malaysia :(

Made my Bahrain pics earlier today so too late now.

I Picked Alonso as the winner which rescued an otherwise bad sellection, I mean Grosjean for Pole what was i thinking?

I did spot that Scribbler

Yellow Cap for the round goes to Oli3000 and scored 17 pts for the round - his correct picks included Hamilton for pole; Alonso for win, Kimi for 3rd, Hamilton for 4th, Massa for 5th and Grosjean for 9th. Great picks!

Had some bad luck this weekend with the Ferraris doing badly! Also was surprised by Rosberg for pole and Kimi's poor qualifying performance!

I did my picks before I heard about Hamilton's penalty. Still not too bad.
