and plenty of vintage east bloc motorcycles ..

Get in touch with Skoparts International.....he specialises in RWD Skodas and is very good.

If you get stuck then Im sure I have these parts for you, cheers Jay , Birmingham..

Two Skoda 120s in a scrapyard in Québec. Damn far, but they're on the same continent.

Alternatively, you can leave a message on ladausa.net/forum. There are a few Skoda owners on that website who live in western Canada (Alberta and British Columbia I am certain of) who are much better placed to be of help to you.

Hi Charlie,

Do you happen to have a picture of your Rapid which you could show us?

By the way, how did she end up at you? Did you import it?

Cheers

Charlie, very nice collection, you're having some real gems. Just one hint, your Polski Fiat 126 can't be an 1977 model. Black plastic bumpers, modified wheel trims and badges had break into production around 1984. They even changed the dashboard and the ignition from 1988.

Is it a bowden or ignition key starter? How does the dashboard look? Is it with one clock or the one with bigger gauge panel?

Surprised Daverapid has not popped up here. He is another member to try if you are stuck for parts. He is a big rear engine enthusiast and can normally relied on for help.

 Not sure how or why I missed this. Yes, I can help if you haven't already been helped.

Some amazing stuff there......I love Wartburgs (or at least the idea of them as Ive never owned or driven one).

I bought one in 1972 and covered 50,000 miles in 3 years.  In 1974 we were planning to go abroad in it, but with the fuel crisis making it very difficult to predict if you could get petrol in Western Europe, we took the ferry to Hamburg and went into East Germany and across Eastern Europe as far as Romania!  It was totally different back then during Soviet times compared to today.

I was sorting out some old papers this week and found a couple of Wartburg brochures from the 1970's, along with one for the Skoda S100 range!

Apologies to Charlie, as I've gone completely off topic.
