spark plug drive fabia 1.4 2001 16v

Featured Replies

What size spark plug drive will i need on fabia 1.4 2001 16v and also what spark plugs?

It's a 12mm sparkplug socket such as are used on motorcycles, you'll need a long extension since they're quite deep in there.

I recommend NGK Iridium, part number BKR6EIX-11

http://www.sparkplugs.co.uk are the cheapest and most reliable suppliers I've found.

I have looked up those spark plugs I'm still confused on what size socket i need .When you say 12mm socket for fabia 2001 is that the inner 12mm of spark plug .It seems very small

Of course you buy the really deep Laser spark plug socket - its got magnets to grip the plug and is about 10" long - I bought one, maybe out of boredom, and actually used it again today. Also remember you are screwing these plugs into an aluminium head, so use a "touch" of anti-seize grease and the correct torque.

did mine today, 4 x ngk plugs bkur6et-10/2397. These had three progs compared to the bosch two, all adjusted and ready to fit. £12. Read above that somebody said a 12mm socket, I used a 10mm hex. Good opportunity to also check/clean/replace the air filter panel. only a £5 for that too.

I agree, it is definitely 10mm plug socket (or a nice long Laser socket with magnets on the end) - I tend to try to get VAG plugs (same as you list but in a VAG box) on ebay for less that NGK - okay they will be NOS but it's a small challenge to save even more money!!
