1.9 tdi 110 Elegance estate Brake disc sizes?

Featured Replies

Hi,

Can someone confirm my disc sizes are 280mm front and 256mm rear?

finding so much conflicting info, car is on a 53 plate

Also what are the better options on replacement other than OEM, just considering that the quotes i've had from both main dealer and an independant garage are similar circa £390 for front and rear disc and pads fitted inc VAT

Can I get better quality discs and pads for this much moolah?

cheers all

I ordered placements from ECP last weekend, simply stuck in my number plate (for my 2001 110TDI estate), and as if my magic the right ones popped up.  Plus they are on upto 50% discount at the moment too.

If you have a wind-back tool (for the rears), then fitting is easy.

Sizes sound right, front is definitely right.

The Euro Car Parts site was the reason I posted this question as when putting my car's registration number in it gives me two Pagid front discs with different sizes 280mm and 256mm, similar differing choices for rear, hence my confusion

I bought and fitted 280mm discs to my old 110 TDI.

FS-III calipers on the front = 280mm (I think)

rears = 232mm
