  1. I'm a believer in if in doubt dont. If its a bargin put in on a trailer and dont take the chance as it may cost you more than the possible profit you could make on the car. Or if it needs so little book into a garage up there and have it MOT. There are a few cheshire/crewe members on here that could give you advice on a good MOT station. If I was still living up north I'd help you out but I'm not. Good luck with what ever way you go about it
  2. leaking rear doors and clutch. Mines on 102k remapped from nearly new and on the same clutch.........if you look ater it it will be fine!
  3. Hiya, Just wondering if you can help me with something, I saw your thread a couple of years ago about uprated clutchs from Jabba. Just wondered if you know what Id need to get my clutch replaced in a Ibiza FR Tdi, Just had it remapped and its slipping, Did you get yours done, if so what do you recommend? Cheers

  4. Has there been a date set for this yet?
  5. Mine did this a few times after it was remapped. Still 45k on and the clutch is fine. Doesn't slip anymore. If in doubt dont boot it from low revs in a high gear.
  6. Mine failed its MOT first time on very stupid things, like leaving the sat nav holder on the screen! Made me laugh as the shed the guy has passed for me a few months didn't have as much trouble as my fabia did. Still nothing that 2 hours of my time didn't put right. Some MOT stations jusr do not like new cars...............this place is one of them
  7. After fighting to keep my job since August 2006 I'm now in my last week here. I guess I've done well to stay as long as I have. I've no idea what to do next, I've known this day was coming but conned myself into thinking, they wont do it, they need me. It would seem that customer service is not as important to them as the last Keeper was! So After 3 1/2 years I'm leaving, part of me is excited at the thought of not having to get up early for abit and yet I'm sad to be leaving as the people I work with are like a family with had ups and downs both work related and in our personal life, needless to say there will be much drinking done this friday! So what next? I dont want to jump in to a job just for the sake of having to work. Should I use this as a chance to take up further training or education? After 12 years of working without being out of work this is abit of a daunting experience.
  8. SWSBO has a 96 1.4 polo with 43k on the clock. Does the job she needs very well!
  9. Sounds like a good price there. HG's are fairly easy on these, even I should be able to do one!
  10. PM adrian aka SkodiRS and then await his PM explaining what to do next.
