Hi Guys, My FL air con radiator is peppered with stone hits. I was going to fit a mesh grill behind the lower centre plastic grill in the bumper. Going to use a close mesh to prevent further damage. 2 questions, can I remove the centre grill without taking off the bumper. If not is the bumper easy to remove,(a guide where the fasteners are would be good.)

Octavia with Aqua Blue metallic Colour?
dandog replied to Flumf's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
I bought an Elegance estate in this colour. Really pleased with it, hides the dirt well. It changes shade in certain lights, sometimes looks silver, sometimes blue, and other times can look lke a grey shade. Recommend the colour, suiits the car well. -
Thanks, looks like this is one for a hatcback then,

Bought a Skoda Octava dog grill on Ebay, top brackets hook onto rear seat belt anchors in the "C" pillar and then screw into the grill. FL estate the rear belts come from panel beneath the boot cover with no anchor on the "C" pillar. Anyone know how the new FL grill fits? Can I customise the grill I have to fit, (can weld it f needed) Just need to know how latest dog grill fits.

Looking at previous post, shows how to mount tow bar etc, I would be tempted to mount the tow ball, looks just a methodical work through of bolting on, would buy proper can bus kit so no scotch locks, run cable to fuse box, and take car to veh electrician, probably take £30 max for him to do a 2 min job. Most of the quotes will be for labour at £50+ an hour for easy DIY work.

My eyes are fine, the sticker only says this fuel now contains 7% biodiesel...Time to add Millers??

Was at Local SHELL station filling the misus car on petrol. New big sticker on the pump stating SHELL diesel now contains 7% biodiesel. How safe is this in my 105PD Octy??
-
Me too, 6 week old elegance, missus hit a fold down parking post, dented door £400 quote repair, so insurance job, got a smart car in meantime, got to be the most mis named car in history feels every crack in the road, how I miss the comfort of my Octy.

Was reading on another forum about special procedures to change a battery on a can bus Citroen, (turn off wait 3 mins, etc etc). As the Octavia is can bus is there any special routine for changing battery, to stop faults showing.

Hi Folks, first of all, best wishes for the season to all the posters, and thanks for your interesting posted information. The roads here were terrible last night. In central Scotland very little snow, but heavy ice everywhere and no grit on the road. Really slippy could hardly walk on it. No sign of council gritters. Good news was that Octavia drove very well, oviously helped by FWD, and a big heavy diesel engine over the wheels, when slipped TCS kicked in really easy to use in these terrible conditions. I bet the scout with M&S tyres would be almost unstoppable.
