Was this a review of only diesel engine cars? Just wondering as the top 5 cars are ALL diesel cars!

I have to say that I look at the Octy and see it as an alternative to an A3, or Passat and as such it represents very good value for money. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2

Which Octavia should I go for

I have the 1.4 TSI in the VW Golf and it is very smooth and I have been very surprised by the really spritely performance for a 1.4. I say test drive this engine I think you will be pleasantly surprised I am very impressed, my previous car was a civic 1.8 (new shape) and the performance of the 1.4 is comparable. -
I too owned a new shape Honda (EX)for 3 years until just 3 weeks and I agree with much of what has been said regarding the poor interior quality, remarkedly thin paint and crashy suspension! In end went for Golf (1.4 TSi Match) which is a much more refined drive and the interior quality is years ahead of the Honda. The exterior of the Honda is unique but i do feel that it never quite lived up to expectations and for me it was a meatter of style over substance, nevertheless it was a very reliable fun car to drive. Having test driven the VRs i think that it is a better purchase proposition all round!

I absolutely love the Polo GTi and yours look gr8 in White. The quality of the interior is far superior to the Fabia VRs IMO just too expensive brand new, looks like you got a great deal, enjoy.

I really like the Golf GTi, yours looks lovely in white....Good luck.

Hi All, I have joined the site as i am looking to change my car (Civic owner) and am considering all reasonable options, which included a visit to my nearest Skoda showroom and an impromptu test drive of the new Skoda vRS which i have to say really impressed me and is now a serious contender alongside the DS3 and Seat Ibiza Cupra! I am still undecided they all have their strongpoints the vRS is the most practical and from my research it appears to handle better that the Seat (generally), however it is rather "boxy" in shape and the interior was a little uninspired especially compared to the DS3 that i test drove. I have to make a final decision in the next week or so as i am required to place my order (Company car), any help advice and general assitance you guys can give especially regarding the day to day living/driving of the vRS would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
