  1. Three for you to have a look at.... Kirkland microfibre Costco or also available on amazon. Think I paid about £24 for 36 towels. Stepping up in cost have a look at paragon microfibre, they do decent stuff at a reasonable price. Lastly try phoning one of the specialist detailing stores, in2detailing normally have a decent range but some get a little pricey and I haven't personally bought from there.
  2. Loving the debadged look in general, very smart. I'm not sure either badge does justice to the rest of the car but dont look out of place either. I'd leave it on and see if it grows on you.
  3. longer answer, soft detailing brush with... most safe: pre wash with chemical or snow foam - pressure wash away - add something for lubrication - gently agitate, rinse if needed, move onto contact wash not quite as safe: apply snow foam as pre wash, agitate badges and gaps at this stage, pressure rinse, move onto contact wash as an aside some sort of wax / sealant type product will reduce the amount of rubbish that sticks in the first please
  4. short answer: a soft detailing brush, longer answer to follow.
  5. Its now split between the backbox and the pipe so probably dead.
  6. hi All its a while since i was active here, hopefully someone can spare me a minute. Exhaust back box has lost one hanger and has now fallen off the main exhaust. It is now being held on by one rubber hanger, any ideas how I can remove it? Is it just a case of cutting through the mount? or is there an easier way. Also, f1 said that the replacement is original only, does anyone know any different? they directed me to a powerflow place close by who quoted road quoted 540 fitted for a custom stainless cat back system. Reasonable price? better / cheaper alternatives? thanks in advance laff
  7. im not a fan of the look, but do what makes you happy.
  8. Apologies for the thread necro, my das6 pro also started cutting out and information in this thread allowed me to fix it. Thank you both if you are still around
  9. Autobrite Direct are up the road from you at wolstanton, right off the 500.
  10. Great spot & share buddy. I've still got plenty left though for the moment. Sent from my XT1092 using Tapatalk
  11. Nice to see another brisky from my part of the world. Autobrite Direct are literally ten minutes up the road from you on the wolstanton turn off of the A500, they offer a detailing service as well as selling their own range of detailing kit. You could drop in there for a chat and see what they could do for you, if their in house detailer isnt actually detailing he's often around the place. If nothing else it'll give you a baseline service to compare against and you can pick up a few detailing bits to help keep your motor in the best condition after the detail. good luck, and let us know how it turns out.
  12. I went for the Wolfs Chemicals product that polished bliss sell, the reasons for me being the free delivery from pb and the note in the blurb that the product could be allowed to dry on the paint without damage (I was due to be detailling in the middle of summer). As it happended I didnt have a problem rinsing it off before it dried. It seemed to work ok, but I wasnt expecting a lot of fallout to show itself as it had been done not too long before. Alternatively, and I havent used it personally, but korrosol (spelling?) is supposed to smell less whiffy then some of the others if you are particularly sensitve to a hum. Edit: - I've not used Iron X, but given how bad some of these fallout products smell it might be like putting listick on a pig .
  13. In fairness how many pump sprayers are too many? My garage already looks like I'm preparing for some sort of detailing good shortage.Sent from my XT1092 using Tapatalk
  14. that looks like an impressive bit of kit, but my cheapo wilko pump sprayer is still going strong.
