Do all mk3's not come with a bolero in the uk? Is the screen definitely getting bigger? one of the rings putting me off the mk3 is that i don't think the screen is big enough.

I would like my next car to be a c class estate, could be tempted by a c200 even. The combined mpg figure for the petrol is the same as my diesel mk2 vrs so assuming the true mpg is the same it could actually be a little cheaper to run fuel wise. Theres also a few c200's creeping into the merc dealers 2nd hand at the min. Petrol is also a good bit cheaper than the diesel too.

octavia's and the vrs are just too bloody expensive now.

I have the DTUK one too the CRD-t one i haven't had any issues with mine at all and its been fitted for about 16 months since the car was a couple of months old. You can definitely feel the extra power and i don't think i use any extra fuel. The only noticeable side effect is that it seems to throw the cars fuel consumption display out a bit more than it usually is making it read a little high, actually mpg hasn't really changed though i still get approx 500 miles before the fuel light comes on. I am thinking about changing cars soon so was thinking about taking the box off and selling it.

steelies with tyres already fitted from my tyres is the route i took last year, was about 420 quid all in.

Personally i really don't think theres anything majorly wrong with insignias, can be had with good discounts and are reasonable value. I wouldn't buy one with my own cash though.

I really like the idea of the l&k however the more i look at them the more i think they are just far too expensive for a skoda octavia.

Nice i think it would look nicer with chrome window surrounds and roof rails .

Cheers I am just considering things at the moment. not even decided if i really want a new car. If i do make another purchase though it will be a cash purchase, i hate having finance and won't buy anything unless i can save for it.

With regards to cars with DSG, doe they all come with steering wheel paddles or are they am optional extra?

No columbus? that would be the first thing I ticked not because i have a great need for nag but because the screen in the mk3 is just too small and looks a bit daft.

I have a 2013 mk2 vrs diesel estate and its great, i really couldn't think of a better car for the 18k i paid for it new however the lack of refinement and toys is starting to grate on me a little after about 18mths of ownership. I have been considering loping towards audi/bmw/merc as an upgrade but to get a lot of kit they are so bloody expensive! So my thoughts turn to a mk3 L&K which i still think are over priced but might be more reasonable if a good discount could be achieved. So a few questions then. 1) is the mk3 more refined in terms of tyre roar etc than the mk2 and is it really noticeable? 3) What sorts of discounts could be achieved on an L&K? 4) is the 1.4 150hp act engine ever likely to be available in this model? 5)is there likely to be any other interior colour options available such as black or black with ivory seats? (i don't like the brown) 6)What sorts of discounts will be available on extras? metallic/columbus nag/full leather?

There are some rather large discounts available however on seats - 2.0 TDI 184 FR 5dr DSG images hosting As opposed to skoda equivalent image hosting 30 mb

I used mytyres to get a wheel and tyre package, the steelies worked out cheaper this way and had the bonus that they came with the tyres fitted. If they are not muted they will only come on in reverse and unless you reverse everywhere its not really an issue.

lloking at those pics, the sat nag screen is just too small for a modern car, it puts me off getting one in future.

This isn't good news i was tempted to have a look at mk3 octavias as one of the plus points is i would already have a set of winter wheels and almost new tyres. Will they fit on lesser models suh as the 150hp diesel models?

I have a dtuk box in my mk2 vrs tdi and can certainly feel the difference, is this compatible with the mk3 150hp diesel? of is a new loom and new software required?

Do these cars have leather? An article i read said they did, but skoda site doesn't as far as i can see.
