  1. But how many people now buy a car with about £200 deposit and 60 large payments? they are in negative equity for about 4 years! I simply don't do car finance, if i can't save up for what i want then i don't bother.
  2. My computer typically says something like 50mpg on my to/from work journey however the real figure is about 44-45 mpg, the readout was more accurate before i fitted the tuning box however it was still a couple of mpg optomistic.
  3. because you saw a shiny new thing, you took out finance to buy it over 5 years and now you have lost your job/your wife has left you/you have a gambling habit/crack habit and you can no longer afford your car, you want rid quick. You therefore take your car to webuyanycar and get shot to raise funds. Its amazing the amount of people who get serious debt to drive a car they cast really afford in order to impress their friends or neighbours. to be fair they offered me 50% more than the range rover dealer did in part-ex for my snorter mondeo when i got my evoque 2 years ago. I did however sell it for twice what we by any car offered within 10 minutes of listing it on ebay without the new owner even driving it! Best car i ever had that! did about 40 mpg and the depreciation on it was less than the road tax i used up during the 7 months i owned it. Cost me a whole £15 in repairs.
  4. Not true, if your car fits the profile of the cars they want to sell at their retail sites you generally get an ok price (less than 3 yrs old focus, astra, golf etc). If it is a car they don't want they just give you a crap price knowing that you probably won't take it. If you do they are quids in anyway.
  5. My vas estate is nearly a year old now. When i bought it i financed it in order to take advantage of the £500 contribution and free servicing offer. I then paid the fiancé off in full after a couple of weeks. Today a nice letter from skoda arrived on my door mat informing me i owed £1086 !!!!!!! After a bit of a panic and a call to skoda it appears loads of these letters have been sent out in error and I don't actually owe a penny.
  6. Nobody has mentioned the pack which gives black alcantara and red stitching - looks much better than std interior. Also variable boot floor, parking sensors and proper spare wheel. (which i have on mine)
  7. last tank for me in estate no real long journeys dtuk box fitted 48mpg
  8. well i can see at least 3 fabrics there, a red one, the side bolster one and the main seat base one
  9. why would someone get a nice new car with a nice interior then rip it out? odd
  10. For me the easy way was to drive the 6 miles to DTUK and ask them to fit it, which they did, in about 5 minutes for free. I need to pop in at some point and get the new map 2 loaded on.
  11. since moving from summers to winters (18s to 16s) my mpg has actually improved very slightly. maybe because the wheels/tyres are now lighter.
  12. Andrew what setting was that on? Also the loss from flywheel to wheels seems a bit high.
  13. It has been consistently below 7 degrees up here for ages, I certainly have noticed the difference though when its cold and a bit damp if i boot it in 3rd. It seems a lot more reluctant to set the traction control light flickering than with the normal summer tyres.
  14. Who mentioned any legal debate? i mentioned a lot of after market xenons dazzle me which is a fact, legal or not.
  15. How do you know it doesn't dazzle other drivers? Perhaps they are just so used to the plethora of people driving around with these daft lights they don't bother to flash you any more. its usually corsa's round our way with dodgy xenons and i can say that the majority of them cause me dazzle.
  16. I have no idea why people constantly moan about their lights , the standard ones are absolutely fine.
  17. I personally would avoid it. Especially in the current climate where generally police cars are kept longer and abused for tens of thousands more miles before they are sold on...
  18. my 2013 car does it on the bolero, so does my dads 2012 se connect, I would assume all cars with sensors should do it.
  19. I am in the north east and last winter my evoque suffered the blocked filter issue with only 6000 miles on the clock. It went into limp home mode as I was overtaking a lorry. Nor a good feeling.
  20. Where do all these bentley wheels come from? I don't see thousands of bentleys driving around with aftermarket wheels? Hoisty perhaps?
  21. I will decide for you, leave bentley wheels for a bentley. They will look crap.
  22. the sticker doesn't always mean hire car, the cars i use at work have the same sticker and they certainly aren't hire cars.
