  1. Mine is booked in for Thursday for the SOS and freezing 'fix', fingers crossed! I will report back if anything changes.
  2. Mines an October car so 1 year old. I cleared my warning using my VCDS and its stayed off so yours should be the same.
  3. Oh just incase it helps, my connectors are fine absolutely no issues and it all works perfectly so it must be justt be just the lingering warning that needs resetting.
  4. I have done the same and have the same warning, please let me know if that fixes it, as I will reset mine if thats the only way around it.
  5. Having had a DTUK tuning box fail on my TDi vRS (184) I will never have one again, when it goes wrong it continually throws the car into limp mode and you have to continually restart to get to your destination before ripping it out. Each to their own but the Tunning box is just conning the CPU to increase the power. If I did go down the more power mode I would get a remap after warranty ran out. Tuning boxes are only really any use while its under warranty, although unless declared you have no insurance and they are a doddle to find if you have a crash so be careful with them, they could become very expensive!!
  6. I have a 2.0 with DSG and its great, they work well together, no issues. I have had three variants of DSGs in the past and I really love them all. I have not driven it with the 1.6 but with the 2.0 its great, really easy driving, totally stress free in traffic.
  7. Great choice! I bought the same car a 2017 FL SE L 2.0TDi DSG last year, it is a fantastic utility car, easy to drive, large enough for large loads and the engine pulls very well. Not exactly sporty and the box can get caught out at times but for general use its a cracking car. Easy to get high 50's mpg on long runs and not bad around town. Enjoy it.
  8. There must be a calculation error as your stats show you only got an average of 47mpg (6L/100Km) over the last 13,780 km driven this year?? The best you had was one fillup at 55mpg, none show anything like 60+Mpg, unless the stats you entered over the year are all wrong? You are also comparing your manual to a DSG which will be slightly worse.
  9. As others have said it depends on what is on your car. I found with a Manual vRS without DCC or ACC the selections are pointless, however when I had a my Golf R with DSG, DCC and ACC they really came into their own and I ran pretty much all the time in Individual as i could have Normal DSG (Soundaktor turned Off by VCDS), sport ACC and Comfort DCC. If I need a burst just drop the DSG into Sport with the stick....... The car really feels 'connected' through the settings if you have all the electronic gizmos......
  10. They cant even get my engine details correct, saying its a 140 vice 150Bhp car...... Not promising! But maybe the Queen likes them.
  11. The other problem is VED, the first 5 years is not good (vRS over £40k) and wont help resale.
