  1. Mine is FNK too. I honestly wouldn't worry about it. They go forever like that.
  2. The input shaft bearing is item 2 here... https://skoda.7zap.com/en/cz/fabia/fab/2003-225/3/311-311021/ There are two different part numbers depending on gearbox code number. You can find the code on the build sticker underneath the boot carpet and also on a duplicate sticker in the front of the service book if you have it. Example...
  3. Yes, mine chatters a bit in neutral. You would have to strip the gearbox to fit a new one. The gearbox oil level plug is 17mm hex. I used the head of a bolt to undo mine as didn't have a 17mm hex tool. Level plug location...
  4. If you look at this stripped-out Fabia (owned by member Tech1e) you can see the car's original wiring running down each sill. The main harness goes along the right-hand side....
  5. Sorry, I don't know. Someone else may know.
  6. There is no dedicated duct.
  7. Just run them down each cill under the carpet.
  8. Yep, input shaft bearing. They all seem to do it- it will go on forever like that. However, it's worth checking the gearbox oil level if you haven't already. Nice work on getting it all sorted!
  9. You got the car running yet? Don't keep me in suspense
  10. Did you have to use any of the timing sprocket shims or did it look aligned ok?
  11. They are meant to be replaced too but I reused mine and the engine hasn't fallen out yet
  12. Here's what's in the Haynes manual. Torques in Nm as couldn't fit the full width of the page to show lbs ft....
  13. If it's a bearing it shouldn't cause any damage but obviously needs replacing asap.
  14. I don't know, it's a bit odd as there's no need to take the pump off, as you say. I wonder if it has to come off on models with A/C. Not sure.
  15. That's the water pump gasket. Part number 047 121 228
  16. You can buy the removal tools on ebay. You just detach the removable front of the stereo and use the tools.
  17. Sump info... https://workshop-manuals.com/skoda/fabia-mk1/drive_unit/1.0/37;_1.4/44;_1.4/50_kw_mpi_engine/engine_lubrication/removing_and_installing_parts_of_the_lubrication_system/removing_and_installing_oil_pan_for_a_1.4_litre_engine/
  18. Yeah, I've had mine off to replace the oil seal. Was pretty tight.
  19. Here's the torque settings in case you need them...
  20. No probs at all Yeah, the sumps are stuck on with sealant. As you say, it should be fine as the sealant should fill any slight unevenness.
  21. It's impossible to get the cam timing wrong (doesn't matter if it's been turned 360 degrees) as long as there are 12 chain pins between the dots on the sprockets as it shows here... https://workshop-manuals.com/skoda/fabia-mk1/drive_unit/1.0/37;_1.4/44;_1.4/50_kw_mpi_engine/engine_cylinder_head_valve_gear/repairing_valve_gear/removing_and_installing_camshaft/
  22. So the crank pulley spun but didn't actually turn the crank as the woodruff key was already removed? Only the cam was turned?
