Same thing happened to me. Phone and keys locked in the car and engine still running. Broke front passenger window. Cleaning all the glass crystals up was not much fun at all. This is impossible since the 1.4 mpi 8 valve has a single coil pack unit for all four cylinders. If yours has 4 coil packs it can't be a 1.4 mpi 8 valve.

These are the two trip buttons that get pressed when you turn the trip knob left or right. It's possible that one of the buttons is stuck/faulty....

I'm sure there's sometimes a bush for the pins inside the rubbers? I remember seeing nylon type ones on some cars.
