  1. There's not much to it really. If you've already renewed the slave it can't be much else, unless there's something wrong with the actual clutch. Hope not though.
  2. There are a few Roomster videos here (also same as a MK2 Fabia I think)..... https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=skoda+roomster+heater+resistor+ Make sure your cabin filter isn't choked up as that is a common cause of resistor failure.
  3. The heater fan speed controller is not a thyristor and it's not a relay, it's just a resistor. On a Mk1 Fabia the battery does not need disconnecting and the passenger airbag does not need touching to replace the resistor. You just remove the glovebox, which is dead easy. He disconnects the battery in this video but there is really no need. He also calls the resistor a ''sensor''. It's not a sensor. However, the rest of the video is a good guide....
  4. I think he means there needs to be a little bit of free travel at the top of the pedal so that the clutch isn't being held under pressure.
  5. Hmmmm, mine moves about the same amount with the little finger but the biting point is a lot higher.
  6. Not that I know of. I replaced one on my mate's MK2 and it's been fine ever since. The electronics usually fail on them. The window switches are known to throw the towel in as well.
  7. That looks like a MK2 Fabia to me? Don't think the MK1 went up to 08 reg?
  8. If the wires are OK I would think it's likely to be the motor unit.
  9. Have you checked for broken wires inside the door bellows? Example...
  10. Nice work. Looks like a bit of coolant hose would do.
  11. Is the battery properly charged?
  12. Here is the battery fuses courtesy of member wino...
  13. Yeah. In every other respect it drives well. Just done the head gasket at the beginning of the year too. Yeah, the box sounds on borrowed time. As you said, it's not exactly a pleasant job either, and then there's the worry that a used box might not be any good 😞
  14. Already done the gear cable reset, also changed the gearbox oil but it made no difference. Must be the box. I've got used to it in the 6 years I've had the car though. It doesn't do it all the time.
  15. Not bad going Mine's on 70,000k. Gearbox seems fine apart from a reluctance to go into first from a standstill sometimes.
  16. Yes I know what you mean. Unfortunately I don't know what the difference is either. Another one that was used on our cars was FCM.
  17. Mine is a 2003 1.4 mpi and it has a FNK box.
  18. Join the colours together by soldering in some wire and see if your windows work. They need fixing anyway and there's every chance it's your problem.
  19. I just used the plastic number plate bolts you can get in car shops. I just put a rubber washer behind each one to seal it better.
  20. I would have thought fuse 51 but it's showing it as missing on the fuse box diagram.
