  1. It's only the 8 valve 1.4 mpi engine that has a slightly lumpy idle as a result of tuning the prehistoric lump to meet emission standards, and they only used that engine until 2003. None of the other MK1 Fabia engines have a lumpy idle by default.
  2. That is the 1.4 mpi, 8 valve engine only. You make it sound like it applies to all Fabias.
  3. Interesting stuff. Looks like the repeated shock from the door slamming over the years might cause those solder joints to fail.
  4. Nice one Had a feeling it was from a different car.
  5. Haha, I don't drink
  6. Here's a video showing how to remove and refit the front bumper...
  7. By the way, there is a plastic cover missing from your rear wiper. Part number 6Y6 955 435
  8. That steering wheel cover looks really nice
  9. Just don't put brake fluid on your turkey
  10. I just checked and it's the same as a Polo 9N.
  11. 1H0 609 734 F
  12. They are just bolted down and sometimes they have rubber bushes that they are pushed into. https://skoda.7zap.com/en/cz/fabia/fab/2007-453/
  13. Pic 1 - There is a connector plug missing off the sensor on the air box, or the top of the air box is from a different model. Pic 2 - Looks like a corroded exhaust manifold shield/cowling? Part number 03D 253 041 H (BMD engine code). Pic 3 - Cam position sensor. It is sealed by an O-ring which might be leaking. Sensor is part number 03D 907 601 A (BMD engine code). The O-ring doesn't seem to be listed as a separate item but comes with a new sensor. Video for changing the cam position sensor.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QV4BJImnrPA
  14. Remember to check the nylon glide pads on the backplate too. Mine had thrown the towel in. They should be lubricated with a smear of appropriate brake grease.
  15. Backing the auto adjuster off is done by using a thin screwdriver through a wheel bolt hole. It's also far easier to renew the shoes if you take off the wheel hub/bearing.
  16. I bought the full shoe kit that came with wheel cyinders too.
  17. I don't know if rear disc brakes fit straight onto a car with drums. Probably different handbrake cables, brake hoses and suchlike.
  18. If you want to do a proper job I would overhaul both sides. How long is it since the rear brakes had attention?
  19. Absolutely not. Front discs are totally different to the rear discs that some Fabias have.
  20. Depends how you want to do it and what state the current components are in. A kit would be a good option if a complete refresh is needed. OK, I've never heard of that.
  21. It's already well-known on here mate. Might be useful for new members though.
  22. Did you check the nylon glide pads on the backplates when you had the shoes off?
  23. Yes, good for that as well.
