  1. I think they will come. His feedback would suggest that he sells and delivers.
  2. They will arrive. I'm not 100% sure they will be of the quality expected, but to be frank, the octavia vrs limited edition seat is hardly the be all and end all to scam people. I'm sure RS, ST, M sport, renault sport, even Peugeot GTI trims would outsell any Skoda trim as a scam or genuine sale.
  3. Sticky caliper is really a case of removal, cleaning, lubrication and compressing/decompressing the piston. I'm sure some will say change the fluid too. But it's a Saturday afternoon job to do both.
  4. Guess I'm the only one who thinks they look absolutely disgusting.
  5. I test drove a new astra before the octavia. I like the way they look. That's about as far as it goes. Steering, awfully numb Ride, jerky and very hard Seats, just awful driving position Awful interior plastics, dull and very grey. I'd have a Vxr just for the power, not a vx line just for the styling.
  6. I've had this on every car I've ever owned. Only advice I can give is clean the seal and apply silicone grease.
  7. Very big steel wheels. I have black wheels and wouldn't have bought an octavia without them.

  9. Just a word of caution in terms of pricing. I bought mine ex demo on a 13 plate in July last year for £16,000 - 4k on the clock. So, unless it's really super duper low miles, I think it's over priced. Or mine was cheap. Either way, I had wind noise which was fixed, no running problems so far and she's now on 16k
  10. My servicing is free, so for what it's worth, I couldn't give a **** what they do to it. It's their problem. However, if I had to pay for the servicing I would most definitely be questioning exactly what I'm getting for my money. £200 for a gallon of oil and a filter? Not on your nelly.
  11. It ****es me off no end when cars are so dirty you can't read the number plates and it's always VAG cars. It takes 2 seconds with a rag or your hand. Absolutely no excuse. Also, since the diminish of the tax disc next year, it's going to be even more of a pull, and probably a fine.
  12. I actually live back in Essex now. I also prefer the estate to the lardy arsed hatchback. But thanks!
  13. My little girl is getting blasted in the back by the sun, I know I could get sun shades, but I'm still resisting turning it into a daddy wagon. So... White octavia vRS with legal privacy tints - black wheels and estate preferable but they're not too common I know. Thanks in advance if anyone can help
  14. Same. Probably torque limited or something daft in second gear.
  15. I changed to a bosch one. Seems to do the job It may just need cleaning though?
  16. That or they don't work. Personally, if they're claiming, you may as well. They will almost certainly write it off. Time for a new car mate.
  17. Ok. They look a shade darker to me mate! I'm sure they're lovely in person.
  18. They look very similar to factory I think? Nice, although I don't really like silver wheels on the octavia.
  19. £9 from euro car parts for a bosch. They always have discount codes knocking about.
  20. 2l CR TDI, Estate, 225/40/18 The fact that they were illegal in the centre of both tyres indicated that 34psi was too high.
  21. Wish I could get that. VRS is making 53mpg at 70ish.
  22. Opens and closes a vent to allow air con to flow into it, or not.
  23. Food for thought: I had 34 front on mine and they needed replacing after 6 months. I now stick exclusively to the manufacturers recommendations.
