Sold my year old Fiesta ST last September and picked up the VRS for £1700 with 130k after seeing it on Autotrader, 13 miles away. Had 2 VRSs before but newer and less miles. Turns out this one runs much better than both of them

Stage 1 remap to 170 bhp or more?
Yaris replied to mdfabia1969's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
Been considering a remap on my old girl, but it's on 135k with the factory clutch & turbo, which I fear wouldn't last much longer, although there are no warning signs at the moment. -
Ha that's harsh man

Aye it sounds bad out there, glad i'm indoors while the Mrs is trawling the shops, hopefully for Watchdogs 2! Aye the 206 flew indeed, i'd get another but like you say, they don't have the solid reliability of the Skodas

Black 54 plate with 312s and rear parking sensors. I had a 206 HDI GTI, and I loved that car, light and torquey, and 50+ MPG. Deleted the DPF too.

Inverness, work in Forres. VRS is ideal for the commute, 65mph and 52mpg!

Thanks for your input everyone.

MPG on my 30 mile commute has gone from 58 to 63. Power is also back.

Garage just phoned, no fault codes but EGR was clogged to buggery, so they're cleaning it up.

The adapter now has a solid red & flashing green LED

I can't access the ECU with elm327 and Torque Pro. 54 Fabia VRS. The Elm unit shows a green LED which quickly changes to red. It's paired in Bluetooth and selected in Torque Pro.

Emptied a bottle of BG244 into a full tank of fuel.

Yes, completely stock engine.

Cheers, I'll enquire about a pressure test specifically, as opposed to just checking for leaks with hands.

So i've had my VRS for a couple of months now, and it feels slower. At first it felt really eager, but now i have to push it to get the same sense of acceleration. The buildup of soot on the boot definitely builds up quicker, i have to wipe the numberplate once every 2 weeks, but this could just be down to winter? (I am in NE Scotland) I have it booked in next week to check for boost leaks. When starting the car when very cold, there is a hissing noise from the engine for a few seconds, just like how it does for a split second when accelerating, but I put this down to the turbo spooling up? Cheers

New to modding, need help with my VRS
Yaris replied to JohnRamo98's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
Just ordered a whiteline RARB from DPM for £149 delivered. Other mods are the 312 brakes from the mk1 Audi TT. Definitely more satisfying than exhaust noise. -
After my RS3s are toast, i'll be going Michelin Pilot Sport 3. I just couldn't spread my arse cheeks enough last time at £100 a corner

BG244 diesel injector and engine cleaner
Yaris replied to ben cook's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
Just ordered some so i'll let you know. -
I must admit i've not seen any VRSs for sale for less than £1500, and that had issues listed in the ad. I paid £1700 for mine, 130k and no issues. Maybe increase the budget, as you may just be sifting through dogs.

Think i'd rather the points tbh
