Yeah, the place you're going to isn't dodgy enough mate. You want me to recommend somewhere? I managed to get the Crocty through
-
Utter pain in the **** as I can confirm. Just hope it'll be better when it's all done and opened up.

No. Don't go with EBC pads, their discs are great but not the pads, my Croctavia ate a set of red stuff pads in 67 miles and a set of yellows in 2 days. As for the car the mk ll VRS is good, Sharkrider used his for track days. Still took a while to overtake the Slowda when we were at Rockingham anything is quick enough.

Brighter bulbs - Do they work?
Outofthi5world replied to SPINESHANK's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
I got Osrams in mine about a year ago. A lot better than standard but the drivers side one decided it didn't want to work a few days ago so now the old ones are back in. -

Just because you couldn't handle it Phill... I've drifted scraper tractors and telehandlers at work it'd be fine -
"The Raging Mouse" Fabia Monte Carlo.
Outofthi5world replied to Outofthi5world's topic in Fabia Projects
Took it in for its MOT today and it passed as expected, only advisory was the rear tyres are worn on the inner edges which I knew about as they are part worn and were like that when I got them fitted a couple of weeks ago but with it being the inner edges and only rears they aren't going to wear any more before they get out on a track or something. -
Well one day someone asked how to clock a car so it shows less miles on the ODO than it has done. What sort of a response do you propose to that topic?

That's alright for you but if your insurance costs nearly £1000 and it works out a lot cheaper to stick it on tempcover for a day or two each time then that's how it is. At least I am bothering to insure it, maybe go out at two in the morning and see how many people there are out there who beef ridge following the rules. -

The problem is there's no logic to it whatsoever, if you don't want to waste money insuring it for the full year then you'd have to tax it before taking it out ach time, for the month. So say you had two trackdays at different points in the month you'd have to tax it and insure it for the first one then SORN it again afterwards then tax and insure it again and SORN it again after that. you'd be paying for two months tax and ****ing about for nothing. Anyway, I haven't got the time nor the patience to be arguing with people on here any more. -
I have a set of universal rubber ones that I trimmed to shape and as the two front ones are the same when I bought a replacement set because I wore a hole in the drivers one I had two spares.

Got a ****ty letter from the Government saying I need to SORN it or face a big fine yesterday, just SORNed it now. set of ***** What is the point in that? So now I'd have to tax it for the month, insure it for the day then SORN it again after. It's looking more and more like a trip to the yard for the Croc. :'( -
I think you're thinking of the Croc there Dave

Yeah I know. But no, I can't afford yours unfortunately Trevor. If I could afford to have your car as a track toy then I would never have got the Croc in the first place Looking for something under a grand definitely. -

It's like you're willing me to keep it... Honestly though, as much as I love it I'm going to be 21 in a months time so the cost of insuring a VRS will be lower than it is now and a VRS has 70 BHP more, better brakes and will probably not look like it's been rolled down Everest, I'll be keeping the Croc until I buy another car but I won't be doing anything to it. PS: Thanks for the Cat info -

Outofthi5world replied to Outofthi5world's topic in Octavia Projects
Soo... I tried to insure the Croc permanently today, all was going well until they asked what category it was when written off, I said I don't know, looked on the log book and it just said "This vehicle has been salvaged because the estimated cost of commercial repair was more than the value of the vehicle" They said this wasn't enough info and they needed to know the category, I asked where to find it they said what did the insurance company say when it was written off? I said I don't know, I didn't own the car. They told me to contact the DVLA, so I did, they told me they don't hold that information and that I'd need to send off a form and £5 to get the info in around 4 weeks time. F*** that. I'm not giving the government a fiver to tell me what class of write off the car was, and I'm not f****** around either. So this project is currently on hold with the possibility of a new car and the croc may end up on the back of a wagon, or some of it anyway. -
I have a 1.2TSI 105 Monte Carlo, completely standard goes really well. I had it dynoed and it is producing 115 BHP with no modifications or anything.

What is it with garages these days?
Outofthi5world replied to Outofthi5world's topic in General Automotive Chat
By that do you mean a couple of ****s that don't know how to drive in a convoy and end up losing all but one car? You mean them ones Lee? Because you f you do then yeah, maybe I made a stupid overtake but if I didn't I'd have been stuck in Milton Keyns on my own not knowing where everyone was or how to get to where we were going. If you and a certain other person would kindly remove your heads from your rectal cavity that would be nice, otherwise keep them there and see if I give two hoots. Anyway Rusty, it might not be the best but it is fun and surprises a lot of others out there that's for sure. -

Sorry Lee, could you remind me where you got this information from? -
Just looks like a normal bonnet, have a look on pip_vrs's thread as he has one on his car. Only side-effects are it makes the owner very temperamental if you touch or attempt to touch it.

That was quite funny that though, every single weight on all four wheels I think we all need to move to one area and all the Brisky crew be together and start our own garage. -

Thanks Rusty, I'll see about giving them a try for the winters. Either way I'll need two tyres sticking on the VRS wheels at some point to as the perished ones are currently only fit for keeping the car stood and I don't know how long that will last. -
F*****g brown tongued ****** Lee. Happy birthday Colin.
