Hi, Has anyone heard of an issue where the glow plug light doesn't come on when you switch ignition on? Mine is doing that and in this cold weather it obviously won't start. I don't understand why they aren't coming on though? If I put the ignition on about 5 time the glow plug light does eventually switch on and it starts Coolant temp is working fine when it's driving. Hi all, Really not happy with auto wipers so wanting to use the little wiper lever on the stalk as per the intermittent wipers. I've gone into one of the settings on OBD11 and disabled "rain/autolight sensor" expecting the stalk to go back to intermittent wipers as i've read online but it's still using the rain sensor I believe as they are completely random now on the stalk. Has anyone coded them back to a lesser spec model before? If so am I missing a step? Thank you

I'm not sure if he's active so much anymore mate. He was last online last year The drive is still giving me an error The disc is spinning up but it's like it's not connected to the radio It's all since I've installed and enabled the rear view camera and when I did the hard reset

Thanks I've put the CD in and now can't eject it 😞 THis is so frustrating Tried disconnecting the battery etc, i can hear it spinning the disk but won't eject it.

Do I burn it to the CD as an .Iso file? Then plug it straight into the radio? Thanks again for your support

Also I saw another post where someone has updated via SD card? I have the slot in my head unit. Could I maybe do that as I currently don't have a CD drive in my laptop, or any CD's

Cheers mate, I will go find it. Is it something I can look in the settings on the unit without taking the covers off for now? Sometimes it does allow me to go on the menu which is rather weird! so can check there if so I have OBDeleven and wondered if i could do a software update through that too?

Hi all Basically I have fitted a rear view camera to my columbus RNS-510 on my mk2 Superb head unit and had to do a hard reset in order to get the camera to work. That worked and it does display the video camera on reverse however... Now I have an issue where the head unit displays the skoda screen, then goes black and nothing happens. It then continues to restart, I have been told that I may need to do a software update? Also I think the maps have gone too as sometimes it asks me for a CD? I hope someone has an answer and a massive thanks in advance! Thanks, Daniel

All fitted and working thank you very much for the video @Lutz I thought I had not done something correctly and was very disheartened after coding until realising the absolute must on hard reseting the head unit by press <>& speaker button! Did that and it works beautifully

Do you know what the difference is between the modules as there are some that end in A, B and C? C seems to be harder to get a hold of?

I have a weird problem on my 2012 tdi with columbus headunit. Blue tooth connects and I can play my spotify from my phone however it doesn't come up on the columbus head unit and I can't skip songs from the steering wheel, it's like it's not connected to the phone with the touch screen (bluetooth symbol not lit up or anything on the screen top right) On Friday it did which is weird, I could control the songs from the head unit, I could also skip songs from the steering wheel whereas now I can't at all, seems to be pretty hit and miss. I only got the car the other day so i'm not too familiar with it. Am I doing something daft? Phone is an Android Samsung S22 ultra if it makes any difference Thanks

I've used nylon stand off washers to space it out due to the angle of the coolant pipes. Basically when you flick the switch up and down it reverses the polarity of the wires to the motor which either goes up or down. Thanks mate! Yeah it's such a hoot to drive. Slow in a straight line but the speed you can carry around corners makes up for it. It's a bit of both. I walk to work and barely drive it because of that. I'm doing 600 miles next week in it though whilst on a driving tour or the lake district and Wales. Cannot wait!

About 30kg altogether. Also removed the air con pump, rad, associated pipework and condenser etc that was another 25kg! I completely forgot to update the thread with my tidying the rear loom but... I did that a few weeks back. Got the gf in one the action de-tarring the car too. Tonight I painted it! Hi Guys, I currently have a pretty involved project thread on here with my Clio 182 link here http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/319681-daniels-blue-182/ I've just stripped the inside of it And it's crying out for the meteor grey / the primer colour on the inside! I'm using Dulux gloss, I don't suppose anyone happens to know a similar colour I can get that would be from B&Q or anything to put me in the right direction? Thanks a lot I appreciate any replies.
