  1. Whats that in the cupholder? Looking good by the way!
  2. Was out fannying with the car earlier and totally forgot about getting some. I'll sort it tomorrow now.
  3. I'll take some pics of mine and upload. 57 plate with 146k on the clock. Both sides are starting to rust where stonechips have broke through the lack of underseal.
  4. £107.33 for injector seals, £5.65 for 5x rocker bolts, £16.48 for 8x injector clamp bolts, £6.79 for Tandem Pump to Head seal. Total of £136.25!! All at trade price from TPS! OUCH!
  5. Looks like I'll be picking the car up this week. First port of call will be new injectors seals and bolts.
  6. Reseated injectors using new seals and bolts? Any problems with Oil in the Diesel filter housing after? It has to be something they have touched. The car went in fine, and come out with a problem. Maybe the original map isn't suited to the injectors, and a decent tuner could write a map to suit? The reason I ask is I am picking up a cheap 57 plate VRS PD TDI either this weekend or early next week, and it has the same problems...
  7. Did everyone check rocker clearance, and KW adjustment with Vagcom?
  8. Had a sneaking suspicion these where too good to be true. :( Anyone investigated fitting Passat or Golf leathers?
  9. Any update on this problem? Did anyone get to the bottom of it?
  10. Have a look on Eurocarparts. Use AUDSRS25 discount code for 25% off too. If your handy with the spanners fit them yourself.
  11. Following this thread! Quite interested to see how it turns out! :P
  12. Thanks, but that's not the one. Haha Any other success or horror stories then, or did everyone give up and sell the car?
  13. What year and colour? :P Any other owners on here that managed to get to the bottom of this after the injector recall?
  14. What the hell? There has to be a simple explanation as to why so many have problems after the injector recall. Just out of interest, what reg was your car? I've put a deposit on one and hope it isn't your old one! Haha.
  15. Anyone ever get to the bottom of this? Correctly adjusted rocker on injectors, injector seals or cam timing checked and using vagcom and then adjusted?
  16. Thanks Guys. Have put a deposit on the car, and I'm pretty sure the EGR is reading high. Either way it is a bargain. I'll post some pics when I pick it up. Cheers, Tony.
  17. Just get it removed and a suitable remap to code it out. Under normal driving you'll get better fuel consumption and never have this headache again. If your handy with the spanners, do it yourself. You only have to remove the downpipe, use an angle grinder to cut it open and gut the innards, then weld it back up. Then £2-300 for a map.
  18. I remember signing up a while back, and I thought now was the time to say hello! I've just been to look at a 57 plate Octavia Vrs tdi this evening that is up for spares or repairs at a bargain price. A rough running misfire and struggling to start and sometimes cutting out. I think vcds showed what might be the EGR stuck partly open. I'm sure I'll need your help sometime soon as it has no fault codes showing! Anyone here from Northampton, just out of interest? Thanks Tony.
