  1. Oh dear, anyone we know https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.driving.co.uk/news/police-arrest-fake-ambulance-driver-wales/amp/
  2. What is this leaf thingy you speak of Oh yeah baby 9.3mpg is my all time lowest in the vRS
  3. Yeah the DTUK boxes have a lot of adjustment & weather changes will upset them, you gotta play with them & talk with DTUK's customer service till you get it right for your car. Of the haters I've questioned on FB ( & there have been a few) 95% of them had a 2nd hand box some of which weren't even for the same engine, all of these guys said they didn't get great customer service but, in truth they didn't go further than DTUK asking them their Reg No. But, they can all tell you what errors they had, gotta be careful of the fake news, get whichever you are happier with, cars always go wrong hence, if I find customer service I'm happy with, I tend to stick with it.
  4. Looks pricey, more people have used the DTUK boxes for less money, more power & great customer service
  5. I drove my 1.4 TSI DSG (140 perhaps tuned up a touch) like I just stole it for all 42 months I had it. I couldn't kill with my total and utter mechanical unsympathetic behaviour, couldn't recommend it any higher, even my vRS245 needed new brakes before 4k miles
  6. I drive for smiles not miles http://www.fuelly.com/car/skoda/octavia/2017/themanwithnoaim/656953 Nuff Said ?
  7. You can say what you like, it's called freedom of speech, don't worry about others, it's only the snowflakes that sweat the small stuff.
  8. I believe the Mk3Fl has a different adaptions map, @wg100 has the full story, he coded mine anyways
  9. It's called High Beam Assist Dunno about OBD11 but, VCDS certainly works
  10. Turn the main beam on You can even see the whites of other drivers eye then !!!
  11. The triple netting system is best http://www.superskoda.com/Skoda/OCTAVIA-III/Octavia-III-original-Skoda-boot-netting-system-RED
  12. Glad to see you've got your car @Scotty72 it has twin exhausts & are happy with it. I'd agree with you about the folding wing mirrors, I've previously cancelled an order over it. Electric seats are a neccesserty for anyone with lumbar issues, that manual lumbar support adjuster had about 2 positions I could get it to stay in & neither was comfortable for me. Regards the 19"/18" debate, I've been there. I brought & refurbed a set of Gemini's before getting my MY17 vRS245 & I'd have probably run them too. However, due to family holiday I ran the 19" for 10 days before switching to the 18", the 18" only stayed on the car a week, to say I didn't like them was an understatement. Enjoy your car
  13. Yeah lots of difference in sound, it hisses & oh boy can you hear it spool but above all it sounds like a dump value when you lift for a gear change What Revo haven't made clear is that the tube is metal & therefore, adds a bit raunch to the sound.
  14. Been there, done that & got the T shirt. I didn't want the additional cost of 19" tyres so, I brought pre-loved 18" Gemini's, forked out on having them refurbed, all before the brand new car arrived. Drove the new car on 19's for a week before changing to the 18's, oh boy did I hate those 18's, felt so bad (compared to the 19's) they were only on the car 4 days. If you shop around you can get R19/235/35 around £105 for Eagle F1A3 or Michelin PS4S at £156.58 (incl.) at Costco with £50 off a pair or £130 a corner for the very best tyres ATM I known what are being fitted to mine
  15. Quality air intake @AndrewE These things have gotta breathe
  16. Thanks Dave, I made it just, then had to swap the wheels round as the fronts ain't good, then it ran 3 Fn less than last year, grrrrrrrrr
  17. @andsoutham please message me your tel.no. I'm breaking speed lots to get there
  18. Stage 2 is hardly tuned to death & if you think it is I'm afraid you are sorely mistaken I take it you're still running the factory fitted P zero's
